Jose Bautista's recent offensive outburst has coincided with him wearing the pants of teammate R.A. Dickey.
Bautista has raised his batting average 16 points over his last four games.
Since changing his wardrobe, Bautista is batting .615 (8-for-13) with three home runs and five RBIs.
"Dickey's pants until further notice," Bautista said after Monday's game.
Bautista decided Saturday to switch from his customary low pants to a more old-fashioned high-socks look. He realized that the only pair of pants that fit him belonged to Dickey.
