Should we match MIL's offer is the question. Personally, if we don't get Howard (and hope's sinking), I think we should.
Ignoring all his other good points, I think he'd be a great mentor for whoever we draft to play SF in the future. I also KNOW he'd be a perfect component for Budenholzer's 1st year.
We have to spend the 90% of the cap somewhere, right?

My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Korver has no guarantee from Bud that he'll start or even match the amount of PT he received under Drew.
New coach. New system. He could end up being limited greatly because of his lack of defense.
That's the reason CHI let him leave for so little.

7M is a lot to pay for a guy who is basically a one trick pony. I think Bud believes that we can sign some players who can provide that perimeter shooting for a lot less.

I like Korver, but I don't think he's worth it.

Agreed!
In the series vs. Indy we saw how little he brings to the table when his shot isn't falling.
He got abused greatly.

Between 3M in BKN and 7M in MIL, maybe 5M in ATL is the best balance, isn't it ?
I see it like that, and there's a great chance he would get enough playing, not sure but Bud will certainly need shooters.
