Josh Smith S and T idea?

Post#1 » by DetroitDon15 » Mon Jul 8, 2013 2:08 pm

I am curious what you all think. Would you approach Atlanta about a S & T for Josh Smith offering Stuckey and Kim English? What you guys think? I want to create salary cap space to have another team dump salary on us for future picks. What you all think? Thanks.

Hawks are looking to use their cap space on useful players in free agency. I dont know why they would be interested in Stuckey or Kim English. Stuckey is useless to most teams right now.

No need. If we flipped Stuckey for that then we would need to spend more to get back to the salary floor and options are dwindling. Our best play may be using Stuckey in the guard rotation and hoping good play ups his value.

I know that but there are a lot of teams looking to do salary dumps and I think we can cash in on picks for helping them out. I think that's why it makes sense for us.

I see that POV, but I don't think Joe's head is there. We could accomplish the same thing by a CV31 amnesty but we are in win now state of mind over accumulating assets.

I think it's a good talking point on our end but ultimately moot as I don't think ATL has any interest. They can take the salary dumps as well along with the assets, why help us do that with our garbage?
