Luke Ridnour (available, Wiretap)

Post#1 » by coolness » Mon Jul 8, 2013 8:08 pm

Wolves are shopping Luke Ridnour and JJ Barea to balance their depth chart and save funds.

Ridnour only has one year left on his deal, tons of experience and he can shoot.

Barea is just a more expensive Will Bynum (close enough) and doesn't expire.

The Wolves also waived Greg "Cleveland" Stiemsema although I don't exactly hope for him. We could use another shot-blocker though. I would rather get Gorgui Dieng off their hands or some other center free agent.

Ridnour would be a great pickup. Obviously it depends on what they want for him. If we could get him for say English and a second rounder, I'd definitely do it. Or Stuckey (unlikely) Villanueva (also unlikely). He'd be a very good backup PG.

Ridnour would be an ideal backup PG for us. Adding him and a pure shooter 2 guard would be a nice way to round out the backcourt.

We don't need a backup PG we need a starter. We need Jeff Teague or Mo Williams.

I would love to get Jeff Teague. We can still amnesty Charlie V and throw a big contract at him right?

We still have a lot of cap space. Probably enough to throw him a contract. But yeah we still can get even more cap space if we amnesty Charlie Villanueva.

Unless we land Lebron, Mo is not a starter

Ridnour we can have for really cheap....Minnesota is looking to shed salary.

Ridnour/Derrick Williams for Jerebko

Or just Ridnour for a future 2nd rounder (top 45 protected?)
