Forwards?

Ok so as of right now who would their starting forwards be? It seems like they have no forwards anymore

Well since MWP was just amnestied, I'd assume that management has plans to sign a cheap FA to fill the gap. I wouldn't think anyone on the current roster could qualify as a starting SF.

Kobe Bryant if he's back by opening night and Jordan Hill.

We don't need one SF, we need about three of them. Kobe can qualify for SF, but he can't guard the huge SFs like LeBron, Melo and Durant for long periods of time.

I hope Stephen Jackson is one of the SFs we sign.

right now ... i think Jordan Hill and Ryan Kelly are the forwards left for this team ... Kobe could play 3 but he is still hurt ... i guess we need to sign 2-3 SFs ... hope Mitch could do some magic and get us one that is a starter caliber since MWP was amnistied ...

VET MLE $1.4 mil or less for 1 year deal. These players sf Chris Douglas Roberts, Terrence Williams, Chris Wright, Joe Alexander, Taylor Griffin, Nick Young, anyone that is young, athletic, and young 20-28 in age.

Jamison is rumored to be going to the Clips and front office already said we won't re-sign him. Also, his days of playing SF is long-gone, we need somebody with better athleticism and lateral movement.

If losing Jamison means we can bring back Lamar Odom... I'm all for it

Jamison is GONE... Remember the 5 DNPs... He does... I like the LO signing as it is low risk and high reward... We now have 4 centers (Pau, Kaman, Hill & Sacre), 2 point guards (Nash & Blake) & 2 shooting guards (Kobe & Meeks) which leads me to believe that Mitch has something up his sleeve... I know Pau & Hill can play PF (Kobe can play SF) but they are better served playing centers in DAs system... It is awfully quiet on the Laker front...

Do it Mitch...

There's either a trade or 2 in the works... Perhaps the Howard thing is turning into a S/T...

Or we are in fact going to tank for a shot at Wiggins... Which is more like a Kobe/Lakers rebuild than a Heat rebuild.

i can't see us tanking ... not just because we are the Lakers but ... i would rather see us going down fighting and losing that playoffs spot rather than see us going down and not fighting at all ...

We're not gonna be tanking, we just might be so bad (Kobe's has a delay in his progress, Nash never fully recovers, Pau not the same anymore, Jordan Hill and Steve Blake get injured again, etc) that it'll look like we're tanking.

Guy's on his last legs coming off a big injury and our owner wants him to start at SF where he is undersized.

BRILLIANT!

At this point we're tanking whether we admit it or not, no way this roster competes without major changes which frankly wont be possible until 2014. Unfortunately for us not many teams want to deal with the Lakers and more importantly no one wants the garbage we have to offer.

both terrence williams and austin daye can be picked up for cheap. theyre both young and can be a decent addition to the team on good contracts. mgmt should really take a look at both or either.

He's strong enough to handle the 3 and the fact that he's on his last legs is a good reason not to make him defend on those sneaky, fast SGs.
