Lakers Summer League Roster as Reported by ESPN

Post#1 » by denimourson » Thu Jul 11, 2013 3:49 am

This Summer League roster has not been made official by the Lakers website but however with only 24-48 hours lefts until the Las Vegas Summer League roster it’s the best bet you can get

Schedule:

Friday July 12 -- 5 PM Pacific / 8 PM Eastern -- Cleveland vs. LA Lakers @ COX Pavilion
Sunday July 14 -- 3:30 PM Pacific / 6:30 PM Eastern -- LA Lakers vs. Portland @ Thomas & Mack
Monday July 15 -- 5 PM / 8 PM Eastern -- LA Clippers vs. LA Lakers

Rest of schedule is seeded: http://www.nba.com/news/las-vegas-summe ... index.html

Coaching Staff:
Head Coach-Dan D’Antoni,
Assistant Coaches-Larry Lewis, Mark Madsen and Clay Moser.

Roster:

Gaurds - Josh Selby,Lester Hudson,D.J. Seeley, Drew Viney,Renaldo Woolridge,Souleyman Diabate, Michael Snaer

Forwards - *Ryan Kelly,Chris Douglas-Roberts,Lazar Hayward, Marcus Landry,Jordan Williams,Elias Harris, Ian Hummer,Mitchell Watt

Centers - Robert Sacre,Travis Hyman,

*Ryan Kelly- will not be playing because of a right foot injury he suffered at Duke.

Players to Watch for IMO & Interesting Player Info:

Josh Selby - Named co-MVP of last season’s summer league along with Portland Trailblazers Rookie of the Year Damian Lillard.

Renaldo Woolridge- Orlando Woolridge son, that has dedicated a tribute song to his father as a rapper under the name Swiperboy http://youtu.be/WJ-CH_dHw8Q

Michael Snaer- He is Clutch http://youtu.be/Azlzn3LRoHs

CD-R - MDA complemented him well as a player to keep the closest eye on from the roster

Marcus Landry - Carl's Landry' brother who has shot 40% from 3pt land

Ellias Harris - Gonzagza PF that has lost his touch to shoot from range 3pt% in 2 previous years before senior year of a .170 3P% was 414%,353% with a Draft Express profile of best case scenario being a Super Athletic Version Of Matt Barnes or worst case scenario DeMarre Carroll, so take that as you will

Mitchell Watt -- Feel good story as he has a disability called Guillain-Barré syndrome that causes muscle weakness and other symptoms

He's not listed in the article, maybe he decided to withdraw and got to another Summer League Team or just didn't make the cut

Josh Selby and lazar Hayward. Very intriguing prospects. We may have some sleepers on our hands. Solidify our wing positions by trading Steve Blake. I'd love to stash Selby for the future, only way to do that is trade Blake. No need for 4 pgs

The IF is his negotiation to get out of his buyout and relying on a 2nd party to do so when you can sign a Summer League or NBA D-League player outright.
