Does anyone remember when RealGM ran a story about Vinny thinking DJ could be a DPOY too? Compared him to Bill Russell IIRC.

I have NO faith in Coach Rivers, he & CP3 can prove me wrong by winning a NBA title in 3 years or less.

not sarcasm, if you remember I have been opposed to Rivers since the beginning; also not a big CP3 fan.
I think Doc is a bully, he was nothing short of a DICK to both Rondo & Glenn Davis. Doc was a BIG supporter of the THUG Celtics & always supported the crying & over-rated KG & Cripalicous Pearce.
CP3 holds the ball at the end of the quarter way too much, then its too late to do anything. Look at his numbers for end of the quarter possessions, they are not great. CP3 has the Mafia Boss attitude of where he will set a guy out to get run over (VINNY!!!!!) then deny that he had anything to do w/ it.
I have been a SEASON Ticket Holder for 11 years & I like this team the least, even when we had Rasul Butler, Z-Bo. Kaman etc.
I am not being sarcastic, Doc & CP3 owe the Clippers a Championship in 3 years or they are full of ???

yeh I'm lost, if it's your real attitude Riverside, that's certainly a unique Clippers fans perspective. You like this team the least? you mean the same team that has made us relevant, the same team with a guy called Blake Griffin who changed this franchise future forever. The same team with the best Point Guard in the league and one of the best coaches in the league... Doesn't make much sense to me.

"Owe" the Clippers a championship, what in the world? Why would they owe the Clippers anything? The Spurs have had a championship caliber team for most of 8 seasons and have been to the finals once and haven't won. Not sure why you think its so easy.

...and owe? Why would they owe the Clippers anything?

My family has had season tickets the same amount of time.

This is my favorite team/era. They're fun, they win and our expectations are where they've never been. We aren't just good. We're exciting. Everybody who watches the game feels a certain way about this team, love em or hate em. It's beautiful.

Nobody said winning was easy. Nobody said it was beautiful. Whatever we're trying...I want a few more doses of that before I take a few more doses of the pre-CP3 Clippers.

Quake, I take offense to your trolling charges, Clipper Nation may not agree w/me, but I don't care.
I just think that both CP3 & Doc are "FAKE" and I would have the Sheety teams w/ real players than this bs attitude and fake swag that we have now.
I also don't think you should ever give up a draft choice for a coach. I don't like our leadership, specifically Doc & CP3, I will take Blake any day.
Looking forward to Duds & Redick, I just have a short leash for 2 key people.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'll say about 8. I don't think that Doc is necessarily the best coach in the league, but he does command the respect of his players. As a coach, having the respect of your players goes further than anything else imo. As of now, the players are on board (Crawford...? Hopefully) and are excited. There are only 4 current coaches that have led a team to championship in the league and Doc is one of them. The players know that and should be very receptive. Gentry has a 3 year deal as well and some people feel that he took D'Antoni's system and made it better. To have Doc on defense and Gentry on offense is a huge upgrade over the prior regime.

Thibs was of course the defensive mastermind in Boston, and they also had some guy named Kevin Garnett. We have neither, but you have to believe that he did learn something being around those guys and coaching one of the best defensive teams in the league. I look at our player personnel, and I'm also a bit concerned with some of the things that have been said. I'm just happy that we have a coach that is preaching defense. Defense has been what Doc has talked about most. Defense wins championships and it's definitely the area that we need to improve the most. He's mentioned that Blake, DJ and even how Reggie Bullock's defense would get much better. He's confident that he can get more out of these players than we've already seen. I like that confidence. I'm cautious, but optimistic.

My biggest concern with Doc coming in was his other role, Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations. One person having total control very rarely ever goes over well. I like Sacks and wanted to see what he could do. I like most of the moves that have been made and it looks like it is still very much a collective process, so my concerns on that front have waned.

I think that we have to wait and see if Doc & Cp3 stay the course w/ their morals/convictions and don't throw players and team mates under the bus when the Clips are going through a rough patch. I don't see Doc as a "Stand Up" guy who takes responsibility & CP3 does, but I think that is done for show & image.
Hopefully Doc & CP3 will be great for the Clipper Nation and I will be proven wrong. So if the Clips don't win as many games w/ Doc as they did w/ Vinny would it be considered a disappointment?
The Clips are my team, I was here before CP3 & Doc ( even if he was here for a year b4) and will be cheering the Clips on after they are gone. Let us see how this tandem will do and where they will lead the team.

i put my faith in BG/DJ if anything... if they both don't improve, we won't win.

Doc will put them in beneficial situations, it's up to them to come out and play. We all know what CP3 is capable of, how will BG/DJ make it easier for him?
