The Texas Rangers have acquired Alex Rios in a trade with the Chicago White.
Chicago will include $1 million towards his salary as part of the deal, according to sources. The White Sox will either receive a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Texas placed a waiver claim on Rios Thursday.
Rios had the ability to block a trade to six teams, but the Rangers were not on the list.
