Does #16 get retired?

I'm not sure if this has been asked before. Does Gasol's jersey go to the rafters?

I think he does.

Aside from Kobe, he's the next biggest piece in three Finals appearances and two NBA Championships.

If Gail Goodrich is retired, then I think Gasol should be too.

Once he's in the HOF, he'll be retired.

Lakers only retire players that are in the hall of fame and Gasol is a lock imo so yes he will be there.

Pau Gasol jersey is 100% getting retired. 3 straight Final appearances and he was the best big we had on those teams. He's also a lock for the HOF also, based on his production in the NBA and also in the Olympics.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. YES! (for you wrestling fans out there),

Funny thing right now, you can make the argument that Dwight wouldn't go into the HOF as of right now unless it is the Orlando Magic HOF.

Right Now Dwight is in Mutumbo and Mourning discussions lmao.

I think Pau's jersey does get retired I see him being with the Lakers one more season after this coming season when if the Lakers handle their cap space correctly they can sign Marc and Pau can ride into the sunset. Expect his Jersey to go up in 2020 or 2021. He' will be in the HOF he's probably the 3rd best player from Europe ever behind Dirk and Parker.

NO DOUBT. Pau doesn't get the credit he deserves. His on court/off court production is incredible. Since the day he got here he's been nothing but a class act. He has been a pivotal player on the lakers helping bring in 2 chips.

Yes. No question. If Jamaal Wilkes' number is then Gasol's will be as well.

I'd like to see the reasons why 3 people voted "no".

Of course it does. Pau has done more for this team than anyone other than Kobe in bringing in two championships for this new generation , and KEEPING the Lakers relevant in this generation.
Also he has done a lot in the community and is always a consummate professional even in the midst of rumors and media attitude of what have you done for us lately.

Pau gasol deserves to be cemented into laker history as one of the greats and perennial laker celebrities after he retires.

You could make an argument, not that I would necessarily agree with it per se, that he was the most consistent player during those two championship series too. Not trying to start that conversation, just making light of his play in those three years, really.

Take mourning out of that list, he won a title.
