To be completely honest- no. He's had summers where he was an absolute beast for his Swedish team, and still came into the season putting up pedestrian numbers and efficiency.

I'm a little more interested in Datome. But even then, I don't take a lot of stock in it.

No. Weve seen what Jerebko can and cannot do already.

I'm not too invested in his play, but if he's playing well, then it's good for us.
Hope he's working on his handles.

Pretty good showing.

But you still get doubters saying he still sucks every so often. The dude can ball. He is the Pistons version of Chandler Parsons.

Jonas had the look of a pretty solid rotation forward when he first broke in. Last year, coming back from his achilles tear, he got off to a bad start and ended up in Frank's doghouse. He finished the year with stronger play. Hopefully, he'll start better this year.

JJ's a good player - and depending on the needs of the teams he's on, a worthy rotation player in the NBA. He's one of those guys, as are most guys in the league, dependent on fit and chemistry for his PT.

I can see opportunities for him to play rotation minutes for us, but I also could see him being, at best, the 6th forward/C on the depth chart where the coach is playing 5 guys, or the 7th guy on the depth chart where the coach is playing 6 guys (the 6th being our 3rd center, Harrellson).

I think the top 5 will be Drummond, Smith, Monroe (clearly our top 3), then Datome and Singler. CV, JJ, Mitchell and Harrellson, will likely be playing for scraps of PT, and they'll play if someone is stinking, in garbage minutes, or if there are injuries. Each of the extra guys has a skillset that could be attractive for the coach to try to run with. For just one example, if Datome struggles, we'd need another shooter, so CV could gain rotation time. If the team's energy is low, Bynum might come in and JJ with Singler might provide a ton of energy at the two forward positions, running the lanes like maniacs. But mostly, if our big 3 is playing well, and Datome is shooting well, and Singler is playing his usual excellent glue guy game - the one where all his coaches have a hard time NOT playing him - then I don't see where regular PT is going to be given to the other big guys on our team.

I've been paying attention to Sweden a lot since I'm a Bobcats fan observing how Jeff Taylor is spending his summer. Sweden is horrible, and the level of competition has been terrible. Good to see Taylor and Jerebko playing well, though.

I like Jonas, but he's not on Parsons level.
Jonas is what he is. Useful role player, not much more and he isn't going to get much better.

That was two seasons ago, not last season. He just plain stunk last season. When he got out there, he tried to do too much, shot the ball too much. The promise he showed as a rookie was from his hustle and effort, not his scoring acumen.

Is it to to playing time or he just reached he potential already type deal? I think he can still grow.

JJ needs to stop shooting jumpers when he gets his chance. I think he started the season last year literally like 2 for 50 on jumpers...his game is about non-stop hustle, rebounding and finishing. The sooner he gets back to being the guy known for hustling harder than anyone out there and giving us extra possessions, the better. If he does that, it will open up the rest of his game.

I think he reached his potential.
When he was at his most effective, he was a hard nose hustle guy. crashing boards and playing tough defense. He's since moved away from that which is both his and our coaching staffs fault.
he shoots too many long jumpers and tries to do a bit too much.
He needs to go back to what he was doing in his rookie season and he'll be able to be a useful rotation player again.

1.) JJ and Frank hated each other. Our FO makes it a point to keep everything internal, there distaste for each other was so apparent that no one could hide it

2.) You guys are forgetting how bad Frank was, JJ did not suceed because they had him playing the CV role. JJ is a hustle player that occasionally can make open shots, amazing plays and maybe that one extra bit of effort on that one play, not in a corner just shooting 3's.

3.) JJ is the type of player that can explode for 20+ and 10+ rebounds for 1 game but in reality is a 14, 8 player. he's exactly like stuckey where he's good in spurts, but when you let them play to long, they can hurt the team. i would love to see some form of JJ and Mitchneezy lineup next year.

Jerebko didn’t get along with Frank, and poor player relations was a huge reason for Frank’s dismissal.

Frank banished Jerebko to the bench from November to the middle of February, as their relationship deteriorated to the point where their disdain for one another was an open secret.
