Derek Jeter underwent a CT scan on his surgically repaired left ankle Saturday after feeling discomfort in the area during a loss to the Boston Red Sox.
Preliminary results of the test were negative, according to the New York Yankees. As a precaution, the results will be sent to the doctor that performed Jeter's surgery last fall.
"We're just going to take a look under the hood and make sure that everything's OK," Brian Cashman said. "If it is, we'll see him back here [on Sunday]."
