The Minnesota Twins are likely to lose 90 games for the third consecutive season, but they could have up to $40 million to spend this winter.
Aside from Joe Mauer ($23M), Josh Willingham ($7M) and Kevin Correia ($5.5M), the Twins have no other players making more than $4 million in 2014.
All signs point to an approved payroll of somewhere between $90 million and $100 million, according to people within the organization.
