Well this sucks. I know Players read these boards, so ill say it. This is a very poor way to start Brandon. I have had exactly this, and guess what? I didn't miss a day of work. Unless of course, you dribble with your face. You have a very good chance to become a Pistons favorite, and being a Piston favorite is being tough, not a wimp of the highest order. The hairline fracture part? Cute, and nice try.

Your ass had better be out on the court day 1, or you will be tagged forever here as someone who cannot, and will not earn his contract.

Good god. A stick of butter is tougher then this kid.

Yall gotta be crazy to think a wisdom tooth doesn't hurt im 28 years old and I just had a impacted wisdom tooth last april and that is one of the worst pains I ever felt in my life I cryed everynight for three months until I got the balls to get it took out it make your head hurt so bad you would wanna kill yourself.I don't fault Brandon at all because most of the time when the tooth is hurting you cant run or jump because it makes your head hurt so bad

I don't understand how this puts him out 3 weeks, seems ridiculous but at 23 years old I guess he's not really a grown man yet.

The good news is Jennings wasn't being soft or lazy for skipping those preseason games. The bad news is that we are going to have a brutal preseason and start of the regular season with Stuckey and Jennings going down. That is potentially our starting backcourt.

if you have to sit out a month with a hairline fracture in the jaw (that he probably really got from Game popping him in the mouth) your soft imo. ive worked through pain many times in my life including a fractured hand. he needs to throw a mask on and get to work. his bodys fine, it shouldn't affect his game as long as he has a little pain tolerance, but it looks like that isnt the case. I guess its more a matter of heart and this is making me question his.

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned, but it sounds like this probably was caused by the rapper who punched him. It probably broke his jaw and impacted his tooth as a result. If so that mofo needs to pay.

Those here whining about him not playing through injury, he's only missed 21 games in his career. He's not a player who tries to fake injuries to get out of playing. Questioning a players toughness for not playing with a fractured jaw is pretty weak. The diagnosis says he has to be immobilized for 3 weeks for it heal. I mean what are we even talking about here, you want our starting PG to tough it out and ris further injury just to play in a preseason game?

Its unfortunate these injuries are happening, but on the bright side its good that they happened now, as both can probably be healed by the first week of the season, as opposed to happening the night before game 1 or something.

Absolutely. If an injury doesn't keep you from your job, then you do your job. I had mine torn out in 10 minuets. I didn't have health insurance at the time, and it sucked, and it hurt like a bastard, but guess what? I went back to work the following morning, and did my job.

Sounds painful, but nothing compared to Stuckey getting his finger jammed in a car door or whatever.

Now THAT just makes me cringe.

Only thing that sucks now, is that I guess if you get one taken out, you should get the lower or upper partner taken out as well. I now have giant tooth on the bottom. Its twice as tall as a normal tooth, and freaks me out from time to time.

You're not maing any sense, probably because I don't think you are understanding the situation. He isn't sitting out just because of pain, its because he has a fracture that needs to be immobilized to heal. Meaning he can't be playing contact sports where there's risk of getting hit in the jaw and making it worse. Its not his choice whether he plays or not, so I don't know how it means he's soft or doesn't have heart if he's not allowed to play, but whatever.

I will never stop doing so. To many people these days are soft as butter, and expect, no, demand sympathy. "I got hurt" "I don't have this" "I lost this" Yeah well, so has everyone else in the world.

The bad things that happen to all of us, is not what defines us, it is how you react, and recover from those troubles that do. It is what defines you as a person.

I see a very distinct definition of Brandon Jennings forming in the dictionary of wuss.

^Am I the only one confused here?

He is sitting out the preseason to heal so that he will be ready for the regular season. That's not being a wuss, that's just being smart.

I didn't know playing through injuries in the preseason was what defined an athletes toughness, lol. Its more stupid than tough, if you ask me. Why risk further inury just for the preseason?
