How about photoshopping Livingston's head onto D-Will's body in that starting lineup pic? :-)

At the end of the day, this team needs BOTH an All Pro level/healthy DWILL AND ALSO excellent back-up PG play from SL to seriously contend.

Play inside out through Brook. Brook either scores the ball or "consistently" passes to Paul or Joe out of double teams. Neither Joe or anyone else should be volume shooting & going ISO excessively.

I will say that Joe's clutch stats are simply amazing & rival the elite clutchness that Paul has displayed throughout his career.

I personally don't give a damn that he's out. Livingston plays 100000x harder on both ends.

Deron's play does not justify what he's being paid.

The only reason I care that Deron is out is because he has Paul's number.

Dear Nets Fan,

Brooklyn will need to bring that same intensity to the Staples Center against a Clippers team that is off to a 6-3 start behind perennial MVP candidate Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, and they will need to do so without the services of Brook Lopez and Deron Williams who are both out tonight with ankle injuries.

Not to sound like an apologist, but I think Deron gets way too much heat for not bringing it and the such, at least last year and this, when it's now pretty clear it's just because he's always playing through rather severe injury.

The sad fact is the dude is made of glass.

Last year they came out and basically admitted, then immediately swept under the carpet, that Deron has some degenerative disease in his ankles.

The dude can only ball out for stretches and after injections and the such.

This does make me question why he didn't have the recommended surgery in the offseason in the first place, but I'm going to guess his ankles for both the long term and short term are so F'ed up he's personally scared to death to let anyone in their under the blade, whether that's silly or not I am not judging, just that that is the feeling I get.

If I was a betting man I'd imagine we aren't going to see him for close to a month after this one at best and there's a chance some sort of surgery will be done to try and clear past ailments now while he needs to be shelved anyway, and we won't see him again for 6 to 8 weeks, with us somehow acquiring a backup point guard or a longer term 6xth man solution who's a combo guard with strong ball handling and point guard abilities.

I wouldn't be shocked if we somehow got our hands on Lin. Funny that Trader Joe proposed that Dwill for Lin/Asik and pick trade the other night, he stole my thunder. My suggestion was going to be let Deron and Dwight finally team up, but it was going to involve Lin coming here with Asik and picks going somewhere else for a piece which made a lot more sense for us coming back and us sending Evans and/or Tele to Houston to satisfy their backup big demands. I couldn't figure out exactly the player and 3rd team though.

But at this point, I wouldn't doubt we wound up sending Tele and Evans and maybe something else to Houston for Lin, where we are the 3rd team in a deal that brings them a different player they want.

having our 2 lowest energy guys out of the lineup during a stretch when energy has been a major issue doesnt seem so horrible to me.

wouldnt be suprised if tonite turns out to be one of our best performance of the year. and no reason we cant beat the clippers with Livingston/Johnson/Pierce/Blatche/KG

A starting lineup with KG + Livingston and evans or blatche is going to come out with tons of energy. excited to see us have some life to start a game

You must have missed last night's game. Not having our best scorer/defender this season is a big blow, don't be stupid.

it is for a team that is playing hard. not for a team whose #1 issue is energy and intensity.

we have plenty of guys to score, and no one is going to miss brooks defense.

id be shocked if this isnt one of if not our best perfmance of the season. our rotation is going to be void of the 2 biggest issues on the team as far as not bringing it and basketball not being a top priority

Not even sure why I'm indulging in another stupid debate with you, but I'll bite anyway. Who carried us in the 2nd half/overtime last night? Who has been the one consistently good rim protector on this team? No one is going to miss Brook's defense?

If I wouldn't get banned for it, I would straight up flame you right now. You're either a very good troll or just really, really stupid. But you actually seem to believe the garbage you say on a regular basis, so I'm going to have go with the latter.

we havent had a consistently good rim protector. tis great brook is blocking shots. its not great that teams destroy us in the pnr when he is invovled. i dont care if he "Carried us" in the 2nd half of a game we should have won by 15-20 given the circumstances. the game right afte rhe told us it was imperitive to come out with energy and urgency he had one of his lowest energy first quarters in a long time.

im not saying we are better off without him overall. obviously not. but in the next game or so im glad him and dwill and there no-shows effort wise wont be involved. maybe it can spark us. beating the suns in OT is nothign to be proud of.

blah blah blah. you spout complete nonsense and a just a giant lopez homer. i have no time for you. one of those delusional fans that think brook's lack of rebounding is circumstancial and not a big deal, his defense is somehow good, and that he is capable of being the second best player on a contender. all completely delusional

I can't believe some of you guys are happy dwill is injured. If we wanna win it all we need this guy to play as he was the second half of last season and the only way that happens is for him to be on the floor. Livingston is nice and all but he won't be that effective come playoff time

Yea, I'm such a big Lopez homer that I've called him out over quite a few games this season for lack of aggressive play.
