Injury Report.

http://www.boston.com/sports/football/p ... ra_points/
Dennard and Gregory Out

The Patriots have ruled CB Alfonzo Dennard (knee) and S Steve Gregory (finger) out for Monday's game against the Carolina Panthers.

Gregory suffered a broken thumb against the Steelers and has not practiced since, so it was not expected that he would play. However, Dennard was listed as limited on Thursday and Friday before not practicing at all on Saturday, and now will not play.

It is unclear at this time how serious Dennard's injury is.

The Patriots list CBs Aqib Talib (hip) and Kyle Arrington (groin) as questionable, and while signs point to Talib's return, they are potentially very thin at the position.

Carolina lists LB Chase Blackburn (foot), TE Ben Hartsock (knee) and G Chris Scott (knee) as out. CB Drayton Florence (groin) was added to the report on Saturday and is questionable after not practicing.

Will the bloodletting stop? Kelly, Mayo, Vollmer, and Wilfork are all out for the season, among others. Vereen, is the only one slated to come back, at some point.
This is getting bad. We're going to have to put an ad in the paper, "Players Wanted".
On the serious side, we're weathering the adversity well, and are on top of the AFC East, at 7-2.

I feel like they're held together by craft glue at this point.

Oh Ridley...

Not going to win a game like this if you're going to get two huge penalties on Talib/Mankins and Ridley fumbling

I liked Talibs jawing to be honest, just needs to put up to back it up. been the best cornerback we've seen in long time. He was excited to get back and Steve smith who's great too, is a talker as well. Had no problem with it. He needs to make a play though.

Blounts a beast.

That was the most pathetic play I have seen in quite a while.

You can't just pick up a flag like that. Lol, don't do that to us.

Oh well. Gonna be tough big game vs Denver.

Gotta love when they throw the flag only to pick it up and basically say it was an accident that they threw it ten feet.

Every loss tastes bad, but this one hurt more because they had the game in check it felt, they just couldn't stop Cam.

On to Denver where we get to face a non-mobile QB, I like our chances.

It's amazing how Newton was also their top rusher by far (62 yards vs. 17). He had more rushing yards than the rest of the team.

That was bull. I'll have to catch another replay but it looked like PI to me. Don't know if the pass was catchable but if Gronk isn't pushed back well before the ball arrives, I don't think it's out of the question that he cuts inside and gets a hand on the ball.

Exactly. Gronk's 6'5", and he was looking at the ball. Chances are that he would have moved up, and had a good chance to catch that ball.

I buy the whole it isn't PI it is holding but it certainly is something. I have no problem with mistakes they happen but that was gutless and whoever said pick up the flag and run away should be fired. You could see him getting upset in the tunnel with Brady because he realized what he had just done. It was cowardly especially in a game they decided to call super tight leading to scores.

Taking nothing away from Newton and the Panthers they balled good for them I just wanted one more play.
