3 way Asik trades?

Post#1 » by theBigLip » Sat Dec 7, 2013 12:40 am

Seems like Asik is going to finally get his wish and get out of Houston and Dwight's shadow. We obviously don't need him on our roster either, but maybe we can help facilitate a trade. He has a big contract and if nothing else, CV could help balance some salaries. Any teams out there that need a center and have an extra 3D SF?

Washington made the move for Gortat but they would certainly be better with a defensive guy like Asik in the middle and we could use Ariza badly.

I'll take Webster too, if Ariza's not available.

What about this?

Det trades: Josh Smith
Det recieves: Jeff Green
Pistons get a SF that can shoot : Jennings/KCP/Green/Monroe/Drummond is an upgraded roster

Houston receives: Josh Smith
Houston trades: Omer Asik, Terrence Jones
Houston makes Dwight happy

Boston receives: Omer Asik, T. Jones
Boston trades: Jeff Green,
Boston gets a center that they desperately need and a cheap F prospect

Jeff Green for Asik and Jones no way in hell Green's inconsistent play merits that kind of gigantic return in a trade

I'd trade Josh Smith for Jeff Green.... Better fit for us at SF... much more efficient scorer. Smith takes too many long 2s and 3s and at too low a % and it really hurts us... and he hasn't learned that he needs to attack that basket.... or worked on his shot enough to be more efficient out there.

To be fair, Smith has been inconsistent too. Its literally the same as it was when he was in Atlanta. He'll give you all-star level game one night followed by average at best the next 2.

I actually don't follow Jeff Green so I can't give decent input on that.
