Post#1 » by AdonalFoyle4Prez » Sun Dec 15, 2013 7:37 pm

Hi guys,

GSW fan here. Our team is having inconsistency with our 2nd unit. and we need shooters (yes, more shooters) We're wondering if a TPE (Traded Player Exception) for Martrell Webster can be done?

Throw in a 2nd with the TPE, and you can have Martrell Webster.

If consistency is what you're after, then Maynor is your man. He's our Mr. Consistent. And since you seem like a nice fella, we'll just give him to you (for future considerations, of course. Our GM loves him some future considerations. He's been stockpiling them for years.)

That's funny, but no, Webster's the topic of interest.

How about Bazemore + future 2nd pick for Webster?

How about Draymond Green and a 2nd for Webster?

I"d say he's untouchable right now. He's shown that statlines aren't everything. He plays with grit, smarts, and heart. He does the small things and makes the right plays.

How about Bazemore + Nedovic + 2nd rounder/cash consideration for Webster?

The Wizards just signed Webster to that contract based on his play last season. Since the signing, Webster has played even better. Therefore, it's illogical to think that the Wizards would trade Webster away for cap relief.

Don't understand what the motivation would be to part with Webster.. Unless you get a starting quality stretch four back in return (which isn't going to happen), why bother?

He's outperforming his contract so far and is a perfect fit on the wings for this offense.

I think something around Ariza/Speights would make a lot more sense than dealing Webster to the Warriors.

Huh? The Warriors fans hate Speights just as we hate Maynor. Ariza is extremely valuable. If we can't resign him, we at least maintain his Bird rights to do a valued S&T deal in the off-season to get back some assets.

Would that be this years future considerations or next years? I think Maynor is worth this years and next years future considerations.

Anyway, Webster is playing so well right now. A near perfect fit for this offense with a good contract. Unless we have a fire sale, or get a better value, I dont think he goes anywhere.
