I think this may be my first GT for a Detroit game. I was only able to go back to 08-09, but it's still surprising.
Detroit is the best offensive rebounding team in the league averaging 14.5 per game. The Clippers give up an average of 12 per game which is 25 in the league. In the last 3 games, the Clippers have given up 50 offensive boards or 16.7 per outing. Drummond is the best offensive rebounder in the league and Monroe is no slouch either. Detroit is also 5th in forced turnovers. However, the Clippers are one of the better teams at keeping control of the ball and that hasn't really changed since CP3 went down.
The Pistons have been a .500 team on the road, but have been struggling at home. They're also one of the worst teams on the perimeter offensively and defensively. They're shooting a league-low 31% from beyond the arc while giving up 37% shooting from deep. The Clippers perimeter shooting has been hit or miss lately (mostly miss), but it would be nice if Dudley and Crawford could knock down a couple. JJ is usually good for a couple. The front court match-up of Blake & DJ vs Monroe and Drummond should be pretty entertaining to say the least.
A 10 AM game is pretty early. Usually we're on around noon on MLK Day. Hopefully the players are looking to bounce back from the thrashing they took from Indiana and are wide awake and ready to play.
