ATL | DET | DEN 3-Way Deal

Post#1 » by Piston Pete » Fri Jan 24, 2014 5:05 pm

TO ATLANTA:
PF Charlie Villanueva
C Greg Monroe

ATL's frontcourt is severely banged up right now and are in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff picture. This trade gives them exactly what they need. CV backs up Milsap, and Monroe gets 35+ minutes at Cfor them.

TO DETROIT:
PF/C Al Horford
SF Danilo Gallinari
PF Anthony Randolph
SG Evan Fournier

We sacrifice this season, but this trade makes us a TON better moving forward. With Horford and Gallo out for the season, we tank enough to keep our 2014 pick as well.

TO DENVER:
SG John Jenkins
SF/PF Josh Smith
PG Peyton Siva

Denver trades for pieces that fit their system better. Smith and Jenkins would thrive in their system, and Siva provides insurance for when they deal Miller away.

I think you could've made the trade a lot simpler. Horford for Monroe and filler would be nice. But you have to remember that Monroe isn't the problem. It's having both smith and Monroe that's the problem. So really don't trade Monroe if you can trade Smith lmao. We gave up nothing to get smith but money. Imagine he signed somewhere else. So trade only one of them. Trade Smith of course. I'll take gallo and filler for smith straight up. I think that's fair. Having smith or Monroe isn't a problem. It's having both!

You really think ATL would give up Horford/Jenkins for Monroe/Villanueva??

They would laugh in your face.

You would have to include KCP for them to even consider.

There's no way Joe trades Monroe for a player out of the season, with no clue if he will ever return to form.

Horford is damaged goods right now. This is the 2nd time he's had this injury.
