Offers for Kyrie Irving

Post#1 » by Laimbeer » Thu Jan 30, 2014 9:39 pm

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/23 ... -Cleveland

If Kyrie were serious about getting out and the Cavs were to consider trading him, what would the offers be?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I guess that the Bobcats would happily trade Walker, Cody Zeller, the DET and POR picks for Irving.

Much Rather have Kemba Walker.. Only because he's healthier and also can score as good as Irving

OKC fans... Would you trade us Westbrook? Saves you some immediate money for a year or so.

much closer to being good than cleveland. part of getting traded with time on your contract is going wherever the best offer is.

I said yesterday, I would deal him to Philly for their pick and the NO pick (if the Philly pick is top 3, no NO pick)

Philly could be nice next year
MCW
Irving
Young
Noel
Hawes

If I were Melo I would consider that squad over the Lakers

Kyrie is really only a top ~15 PG. He's not that good.

Knicks don't have enough to offer but the best would be Chandler, Shump and Hardaway Jr. for Kyrie, salary filler

Lowry
Valanciunas
TOR 2014 1st
NY 2016 1st

for

Irving
Clark

CLE rebuilds with Valanciunas, Bennett, Thompson, Waiters, two draft picks this year and tries to resign both Lowry and Deng

Harden got a lotto pick, Lamb, kevin Martin(exl) and I believe PJ3? Lowry(exp)+ a non-lotto pick and a lesser of Den/NYK pick+ a lotto player is a bit of an overpay but sometimes you gotta cash in your chips. Ohh and Kyrie still has 1 more years on his rookie contract I believe too and this on the assumption he resigns with us as well.

If we were gonna give up VAL we would have had a 1/2/3 of Lowry/harden/Derozan by now, no way we give up Val.
