Milwaukee Bucks forum?

Post#1 » by ghostowl » Wed Feb 5, 2014 10:20 pm

Just wondering, why does this forum have over a million posts? Most other teams on Realgm have like 100k~500k posts

I never knew there were so many NBA fans for Milwaukee....what's going on? :o

Can someone explain this phenomenon for me?

All we have is a river, a lake and the RealGM Bucks forum.

Lots of other teams have other high-traffic forums to go to. Not the Bucks.

Semi-serious answer: Our team is so bad, that we really don't have entertaining games or playoff series to distract us. Basically, all we've got to entertain ourselves is to talk, pray, bitch, hope and scheme for things to get better. And we do it all on this board.

Fans of most other NBA teams? Too busy watching their guys dunk in playoff games on ESPN. We need to sit around and analyze the upcoming draft and free agency market, right down to undrafted guys out of Cal-State Fullerton. It's our only coping mechanism. That and starting a website to try and get the team to change the way it does business.... http://www.saveourbucks.com

And before the days of BrewHoop and other blogs this was one of the few sources we had for Bucks news and insight. This board does a much better job covering and analyzing the team than any Milwaukee outlets.

hasn't realgm bled a lot of users in the last couple years? i remember the golden state, portland, denver, cleveland (obv.) etc. forums used to be pretty bustling around 2009 and now they barely have enough folks to make a game thread every night

What bullox said and the overall lack of coverage in the area.

Yep. The local media coverage of the Bucks is so bad / non existent that anyone who wants Bucks info needs to take to the internet

I came here when Bogut was drafted because I couldn't get any good info anywhere else. Local media sucks and is run by the team like it's North Korea.

C'mon man. We made our own billboard, we built our own website.

To put it mildly.... this is ******* awesome.

Wisconsinites don't get enough credit for how passionate they are about sports. The Bucks don't have any other outlets but the Brewers and Packers certainly do.

Where else could you possibly read a 350 page thread on Tobias Harris?
