The one where he said he hates playing center. Ok, he hates it, but it's working for the best right now. Anyway, hopefully Blatche comes to play tomorrow.

The pistons have a huge front court, we'll be murdered rebound wise =/

I wonder if KG is serious about hating to play center. He's been playing it most of the time in Boston the last 2 years and he's clearly better there. Is bumping in the paint with Tiago Splitter really that terrible? He's clearly a team player so it's not a big deal but he's so emphatic about it.

He's been saying that ever since he made the move back in Boston, even when it was clearly for the best there too.

I just think he's being facetious at this point, just like he never wanted to admit that he was 7 feet tall and always said he was 6'11"...for some reason, he always liked to be considered smaller than he actually was.

Pretty crazy the career evolution he's had though. He was such a physical freak when he was younger that he actually started his career at SF, moved to PF where he was quicker and more athletic than any matchup they ever threw at him, even played PG for stretches, and now he's a C where he's still sometimes kind of slow.

Father Time claims everyone.

KG better damn well like playing Center, he's useless otherwise.

I hope we can win this one, I don't like playing small ball against these bigs

No KG could mean trouble for us. He's the only legitimate defensive big we have. Blatche usually sucks defensively, Mirza is inconsistent, Plumlee sucks, and Evans sucks. Pierce is actually pretty good, but he's undersized.

And I'll be honest, I'm somewhat disappointed in AK's defense. He gets beat off the dribble pretty routinely. He disrupts a lot of plays, and gets a lot of deflections and causes a lot of TOs, but he gambles a lot, and that results in a bunch of defensive breakdowns at times.

I think the one truly elite defensive big we have is KG, everyone else is so up and down.

We might have trouble containing their bigs and cleaning up rebounds...which is where Kidd of all people should tell the perimeter players like Deron and Johnson and Livingston that rebounding needs to be a team effort and that they need to get into the paint and help box out and help secure rebounds. That's how we were able to be a decent rebounding team back when Kidd was our best rebounder.

It's a shame that the Hawks made Shareef Abdur-Rahim bulk up and moved him to PF. He was as versatile as KG, and could have had a longer career IMO had he kept his weight down and stayed at SF.

We probably lose this one if KG sits. They are going to kill us on the glass.

Livingston's stat line from last night: 8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks.

imagine the impact he could have had for last year's team. The backcourt is going to have to score alot tonight.

1) KG needs to STFU and GTFO with hating playing center. we are paying you a ton of money to play like 18-20 minutes a night for 55-60 games. how about you bite your effing toungue and give us solid effort wherever we decide to put you. its bad enough you sucked giant balls for 25-30 games at PF for us.

2) I love that kidd went smallball and maximized our talent in the starting lineup. That said, there comes a time when you need to adjust. last night, with duncan and diaw out, we should have went big and big early. they had 0 shot blocking. we should have gone KG/Blatche mirza/KG /mirza/blatche much more often. the few times we went big it helped. I know KG is out tonite, but im sure if he wasnt kidd still would have went small tonite... we need to go big. start plumlee and blatche or start mirza and blatche

3) this is a game where dwill need to nut up and play well. they have size on us. he is easily the best player on the floor. he needs to have an impact like he is the best player on the floor. detroit isnt a good team. if he played like he is capable we should beat them. he get get outplayed by jennings.

nets 89 detroit 88

My favorite line from last night was: Jason Terry DNP - CD. Hopefully we see more of that going forward

KG has had the same mindset since he entered the league. He didn't want to be mislabeled as a center. He wanted to remain a power forward as much as possible. A lot of silly coaches out there will play the tallest guy at center because he is tall(Johnathan Bender) or force PF's to slide out of position if they can cope with playing center(Al Horford).

He only let Doc do it because he trusted Doc and realized that the move would be temporary until Perkins came back. Once Perkins got traded he went back to his usual hating centers tirade. But at this stage of his career, he's better guarding other sluggish centers opposed to the quicker agile power forwards. The only way he could still play power forward is if he was playing next to Chris Bosh, Joakim Noah, Dwight Howard, Roy Hibbert, or Marc Gasol, not Brook Lopez or Paul Pierce.

If he wants them to make a trade, he should just say it instead of continuing on with the rants. There is no other viable solution for him to move back to power forward on this roster.
