Gay vs. Iggy

Post#1 » by City of Trees » Mon Feb 10, 2014 9:31 am

We all know this offseason the Kings gave Iggy an offersheet and then later rescinded. Looking back now that the pieces have fallen which player would you rather the Kings have:

Iggy or Gay? Why?

Gay. Despite solid shooting percentages from the threads I have read some Warrior fans have complained that Iggy has been passive much of the season and have not been happy with his production per salary generally speaking. I think the way our roster is built you need that second star offensive guy who commands doubles. This is all depending upon the fact that we are able to keep Gay long term for around the same ball park as Iguodalas contract and both remain healthy

Gay. He is a better scorer and shooter and will play better off a player like Cousins. Iggy would have been good though too, just different. Probably would've helped the need for a play making PG that they seem to have right now. But now that Gay is starting to look like he did in Memphis he's a great 2nd option.

gay is much better. Iggy is an overrated defender with no offensive game.

Gay is better for our roster right now.

Iggy is better for a contender

I agree with all of you that Gay is bette r for our team. Not only did we get Rudy, we dumped some of our trash in the process.

I think, without a doubt PDA's biggest move of his short time as Kings GM has been the contract he did not offer. I hope he keeps that focus headed into the trade deadline and offseason.

I'm torn. Iggy would be an outstanding fit next to Isaiah, and would require fewer shots to help with Ben's development. Also, we could of course really used his D.
