Earl Clark waived. Will he return?

Post#1 » by myersia » Fri Feb 21, 2014 2:32 pm

He has been waived by the 76ers. Do we try and scoop him up for the remaining season? Does it even matter  ?

It doesn't matter and why would he sign with us now?

Why wouldn't he? He sucks everywhere else and MDA is the only doctor to cure scrubs. In addition, it is LA. Could sign to increase his value in the off-season (like last year)? Is that enough grumpy  ?

Overall it doesn't matter much. But he was great last year. Might be worth a look if we keep our favorite coach next year.

really? how do you measure usefulness? pages on the thread? go back and look at my threads, most of them have 6 plus pages of discussion. not sure how you measure how useful something is? you must know it all. oh wait nope...you are just a douche bag.

Anyways, this thread was just to discuss the possibility of signing Earl Clark. But instead it has become a personal attack as usual with posters. So i'll just delete this one and let some other politically favored poster post something similar that people will enjoy.

Not talking about pages...get real

Talking about usefulness......Earl Clark was the player of the Sixers,we could have talked about him in the Around the NBA thread

Lakers post Trade deadline also a useless topic.....everybody knows our situation,we're sucking ...why did we need a thread again?

You also made other threads that were merged or deleted for the same reasons...the discussions could have been held in an already made thread

No need to get angtsy here and get to insults, settle down lad

Don't want me to go at it with you.....

You don't think anything you said is offensive? From now on before I post I will ask you for permission. You say "settle down lad" then you say "don't want me to go at it with you" . Forget it man. People need to be more respectful on here. It's a forum people where we talk about the lakers. Everyone has a right to voice their own opinion. I make threads for discussion. If you don't like the thread then don't post. Move on. I apologize for calling you out but I felt you were being disrespectful. But regardless go ahead and delete this thread mods. It's already getting off topic.

What a weird result of this thread. Anyway, to answer the OP's question, would he? Don't think he would. But would sure like to have him back especially with all the players we will lose next year.

He really is  . What is all also crazy is that everyone wanted to keep Clark last off-season. Everyone thought he would be great going forward on the Lakers.

Remember coaching tutelage and leadership matters. Popavich and Thibbs would've turned Earl Clark into an above average wing defender by now and a solid role player

1) We have a full roster
2) Even if we didn't have a full roster we'd probably just sign Manny Harris or Shawne Williams for the rest of the year.

I never bought into the hype last year, I always thought the reason why he was standing out was because the lakers as a whole were struggling. Once we went on that run to end the year Clark was nowhere to be found, and people just chalked it up as Clark hitting a wall. If he does end up coming back I won't have much expectations.

Personally, I still like Earl/Hill/Pau as a trio. I'd welcome it if he came back. Guys in this thread are acting like the Lakers are above signing role players. We need talent, period. Earl has it in him to be a versatile defender/stretch 4.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
