Mike Muscala now on roster

We now have the results of the maneuvering around the trade deadline.
We acquired, then released a player and were paid to do so.

We had $$$ ! We spent that on getting Mike Muscala from his over seas
team an now he's here, ready to go.

A second round draft pick last year, this big center is exactly what we need.
Poor Pittman. He just didn't make a ripple and we were desperate for a
big man.

Looks like we may have did ourselves some good at the trading deadline
after all!

Way to go!!

The fact that the Moose led the Spanish league in rebounding really gives me hope that he can be a very nice contributor and even a spot starter in the future, a Mike Scott esq type player.

Note on length of Muscala's contract. Looks like Ferry liked what he saw as Moose now has the longest running contract on the books for Atlanta Hawks.

I stand corrected:

After selecting Muscala in the second round of the 2013 draft, the Hawks signed him mid-season to a four-year contract that isn’t fully guaranteed beyond 2013/14.

also:

“It is because of the injuries, but it’s also because he is somebody that we really think has a future with us,” said Budenholzer. “He is a smart player and he is picking things up quickly.”
