I would trade #9 for Jeremy Lamb, but it would require more than just Lamb being swapped for the pick

CHA get: Jeremy Lamb, Perry Jones III, and #29

OKC get: #9, Gary Neal

I think Lamb could be Charlotte's future at shooting guard, and could be a legit 17-plus points per game versatile scorer, but I'm currently leaning towards the Hornets just drafting James Young with the #9 pick

PJ3 is absolutely terrible. I wouldn't mind trying to obtain Lamb, but I say a big hell not to trading the 9th pick for him. Im sure OKC would be all over it though.

I would make that trade in a heartbeat. Lamb has more potential than the other shooting guards projected around 9th. He was the main part of the harden trade and the guys in okc front office are far from stupid he's just been stuck behind thabo and Martin last year and now hes behind thabo and butler due to a lack of playoff experience. When he's actually on thecourt he is a verry skilled player with a ray allenish jumper. He will make a lot of noise next year when OKC finally unleashes him from the cage just watch.

I dont what it is about jeremy lamb and bobcats/hornets fans...this kid has never done anything in his league and is clearly not worth a lottery pick. maybe 24th and they would be lucky to get that

If you think okc is going to give away their future SG for #24 pick you must be high. He was averaging 10 ppg in like 15 minutes and shoot a better percentage from the floor and 3 than henderson. Lambs numbers fell towards end of season when they picked up butler for veteran expierence to help them in the playoffs.

:nonono: :nonono: :noway: Sorry #9...We can do better than Lamb..yes it would be nice to pair him with Kemba, but there are other teams picking behind us that can give us more value.

I think Clifford would be real interested in moving back to #12 with (ORL)?

At #12 Draft Rodney Hood SF
Then

its not really about what OKC is willing to take but what we are wiling to give up. I am not comfortable giving up anymore than the 24th pick for lamb

Yes, but not straight up.

This would be closer:
Lamb, #21 for Neal, Haywood, #9

No we shouldn't. Afflalo isn't worth moving back.

Yeah, straight up is the problem. Talent wise, Lamb is likely to be better than who we draft at 9 but it'd be marginal and we'd have the #9 player on a rookie contract for longer.

why wouldnt we want to move back 3 spots and pick up afflalo? we could still land stauskus, lavine, young or saric at 12 and we upgrade our immediate sg spot in the process. sure, it creates a logjam at sg, unless we can unload hendo in the same deal - 9+hendo for 12+afflalo, would be ideal. i would jump all over that deal.

Any trade for 9 has to include Henderson IMO. I'm sure a team like Sac, NYK or LAL would value Henderson more than we do in a three teamer

It depends on how the draft goes, if someone falls I want to be ready to catch them at nine. But if the top of the draft goes as predicted I'd be fine with trading the pick for Afflalo and 12.

Precisely, talent-wise Lamb is equivalent to better than any of the shooting guard prospects in this draft, and that's exactly why I would consider it if proposed
