I believe Mr Smith has value. I believe that management let him do whatever he wanted to do. I believe his true position is PF And Only PF. Now that the Pistons owe him 14 mil per season. I think Mr. Smith would excel with the Rockets. Here's the Trade F Smith (14 mil) &PG Bynum (2.9mil) for PG Lin (15.9 MIL) & PF Donatas Motiejunas (1.5 mil)

Why for Houston: Smith will upgrade their frontline with Howard.

Why For Detroit: Lin - one year contract Also might be more competitive for the Starting PG position. Motiejunas would be a nice young asset.

We have a trade thread, and something along these lines has been discussed to death. Rockets don't do it because their GM is an analytics guy who would hate Smith. They're looking for a 3rd star, not Josh Smith. They don't go for Smith unless they're totally out of options.
