Pau Gasol
Pau Gasol will meet with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls and Golden State Warriors in free agency.
The Knicks and Lakers can't be ruled out as well.
Pau will be 34 years at the start of next season. He played in 60 games last season with a line of 17 pts. 9 rebounds 3 assists and 30 minutes a game. Those are pretty solid numbers. Pairing him with Serge would be a great combo. I think this is a no-brainer for the Thunder but, to protect the future I can't see them giving Pau more than 2 years 5 million per. I don't know if that is even something he would entertain. But, if they can find a way to get him signed it would be a great start to the offseason.

Wonder if the Lakers would be willing to do sign and trade if he wants more money. Something like Perkins, Lamb, maybe a pick for Gasol.

They could trade Perk/a pick or player for a TPE and use that in a sign and trade. That's probably about as likely as the Lakers taking Perk at this point.

Only to a team that wants a $9M cap hold for next season. That could be the Lakers, IF they miss on 'Melo and want to set themselves up to go after Love or Aldridge instead of spending the money this year. Maybe Philly who will have to add salary to hit the salary floor and is collecting assets. I'm not sure anyone else would really be interested.

pretty sure the Jazz said they would entertain salary dumps like last year, he could be moved easily if Pau wanted to go to OKC.
Another thing that's interesting if you get Pau, it might help you with Marc Gasols free agency down the road but that isnt even worth thinking about

Re: Pau Gasol
The only way I see Pau signing with OKC, is if they moved Perkins. I know Miami are interested in Perkins, but I don't know how that would work out ( salary wise). Point is Perkins HAVE to be moved if Pau wants to be in OKC.

Miami is interested in Perkins? Kendrick Perkins? Why would they want the slowest one of the worst players in the league.

Only way they would have interest in him is if he was cut. The thunder are not cutting him.

Perkins isn't one of the worst players in the league. Every team in the NBA would LOVE to have him, it's his contract that sucks.

I'm also told that Pat Riley intends to make a run at Oklahoma City center Kendrick Perkins, who has one year left on his contract.

Perkins has 1 NBA skill that is completely useless against 90% of the teams. 90% of the teams might let him be at the end of the bench. He is good for leadership. Problem is Perkins thinks he better than he is. Racking up DNPs is not something I see him doing quietly in any situation.
I'm not buying that Spo or Riley want Perkins. They have killed OKC the last few years because of how bad Perkins is on offense. The only player that he would help them against in the East is HIbbert. Roy didn't do anything against Miami last year. Of all the defensive bigs in the league they set there sights on Perkins? I've heard a lot about Ed Davis, Glen Davis, Gortat, Jordan Hill. Perkins would make no sense for them.

Too late
Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine
Pau Gasol should have many options but we continue to hear in strong terms that Oklahoma City UNLIKELY to be in the running for the Spaniard

2015- Perkins I can't wait!

Looks like Stein shot it down...called it VERY unlikely, but still.

I was not aware defense is useless against 90% of NBA teams. The problem is: you can't separate that there's a huge swath of area between superstar and end of the bench player. Perkins is the perfect backup center, every team would love to have him for a couple of million and 15 minutes per night.

Don't blame him for taking more money and living in New York, chicago or the Bay Area. How I wish sometimes the thunder were in Los Angelos.

He isn't visiting NY. He is visiting OKC, Chicago and Golden State. For OKC to be a long shot before the visit would imply that Stein knows something about Gasol's preference before the meetings. Yet, despite that Gasol is still going to meet with the team in OKC.
