Bayern Munich has signed Juan Bernat from Valencia.
Sporting director Matthias Sammer went on to discuss the details further, stating that the club firmly believe they have made a signing for the future.
“He is an incredible player who we have been following for quite some time now. He’s a strong young kid who knows how to tackle, but he also has an eye for goal. We are sure that we have made a great investment for the future. Bernat will return to say goodbye to his teammates on Tuesday, then he will be announced in Munich on Thursday.”
Bernat is the third Spaniard to join Bayern Munich in the last few years, with Javi Martinez and Thiago Alcantara both playing big roles under Pep Guardiola last season.
The 21-year-old left-back is said to be signing a five-year contract and will provide depth and competition with David Alaba in the Bayern Munich squad.
