So now what are your thoughts on Anthony Bennett now?

anthony bennett summer league performance, seem to show a new side to him. I believe he is getting motivation from Wiggins now and a lot of pressure taking off of him.

But what are your thoughts now about him?

I saw that he had 17 points on 6 for 16 and didn't bother to keep looking. Did he play another game? That first stat line isn't very encouraging.

I think he has some ability, we'll see once the season starts. One Summer league game isn't going to change many opinions. But then, last season shouldn't have cemented so many either.

My only thought on Bennett is that you never ever ever ever ever trade a guy at his lowest value. Especially not a 2d year guy drafted top 5. If Bennett is being discussed in trades, then we are idiots.

I still think he has a high ceiling, if he can further improve his conditioning, he will be a very good player in the league.

He is an athletic freak limited by conditioning. Still raw. Not a primary of secondary scorer. Once the season starts and his role is defined his efficiency will go up.

i think hes a good player if he is on good shape. less weight and more conditioning would be perfect :D

I guess Wiggins is out of shape and needs conditioning too right? He was sucking air as bad as Bennett, it was almost 100 in the gym give it a rest already. Bennett looks a lot better then he ever did last year, a lot more fluid, confident he even looked better handling the ball.

Assuming he doesnt get traded there is going to be a lot less pressure on him. Im hoping he can take advantage of that rather than letting it negatively effect his development.

I dont know about pressure on him. Adding Wiggins, and especially LeBron immediately takes pressure off of Bennet, because now he isnt the top story in town. At best he'll be our 4th offensive option, and likely he'll be 5th or 6th. The guy is going to get some easy buckets this year, which is exactly what he needs to get his confidence going.

Bennett woud easily be no worse then 4th, having a big with an offensive game is a mismatch in the league these days. Whos going to be ahead of him Wiggins and Varajeo? not likely. Wiggins cant even dribble yet and Varajeo will go back to being an offensive put back and dunks guy.

LeBron, Kyrie, Waiters, Wiggins, Ray Allen/Mike Miller if they're signed.

Wiggins will definetly be ahead of him on offensive end, I know he's a better offensive player, but he hasn't displayed that in this league (yet).

Ah your just trolling then I see. No chance Allen, Miller or Wiggins get more touches/shots this year. Miller and Allen are both 10 MPG bench guys outside of late 4th quarter situations and Wiggins has no offensive game right now. if Bennett sucks that bad this year then just cut him because it would show he's worthless.

Bennett will be starting 4 in Blatts system, his game is a literally ideal fit for what Blatt want to do, and its an ideal fit to fit around LeBron because Bennett can hit from anywhere inside 25 feet. With AV, Lebron and possibly Wiggins starting you can cover for Irving and Bennetts lack of defense, now if Waiters is the starting 2G (Which he will be at the start of the year anyway) then you could make a small argument to start Thompson, but the negatives outweigh the good. if Bennett as a starter gets 25-30 MPG and see's the ball less then Allen and Miller then the cavs have a lot more problems then what Bennett can fix.

How is he trolling? Is it because he disagrees with you? I happen to disagree with you as well, but that doesnt mean you're trolling, does it?

when its something so ridiculous yes its trolling. Bench guys will not get more touches then a starter, unless they are elite 6th men, period.
