Atlético Madrid won the Spanish Super Cup with a 1-0 win over Real Madrid in the second leg of the tie.
Mario Mandzukic scored for Atleti after just 81 seconds to give them a 2-1 aggregate lead that was enough over the remainder of the match.
The result means Atletico lift the Super Cup for the first time since 1985.
Real Madrid had their sights set on winning all six of the competitions they are entering this season.
