OT: Visiting San Antonio

Post#1 » by Troubadour » Mon Sep 22, 2014 2:08 pm

I'll be visiting SA during the NBA season and I plan on checking out a game while I'm there. What's the fan experience like for Spurs games?

Also, any advice on things to do in San Antonio? I'll be there during the first week of January

The area is electric. I went to a game in March of 2013 vs the Clippers and the vibe was amazing.
How long were thinking of staying in San Antonio?

If you got 3-4 days then for things to do in San Antonio, go here to the Riverwalk --> http://www.thesanantonioriverwalk.com/directory/

I've been at least 10 times myself.

If you are going with a group of 4 people or more I recommend staying at the Drury Plaza Hotel on the Riverwalk --> https://wwws.druryhotels.com/propertyov ... perty=0130. It holds up to 6 people in a room with 2 Queen beds and 2 TV's, separated by a room. You also get free breakfast, wifi and they have a kickoff from 5:30 pm to 7 pm every night where they serve food and give you 3 cocktails.

I also have stayed at the Omni la mansion del rio --> http://www.thesanantonioriverwalk.com/d ... la-mansion, which was great.

Lots of great stuff to do... get a nice room downtown and explore on foot; hit up the Riverwalk and everything in that vicinity. Make sure you eat at Mi Tierra and the Mexican Manhattan.
