NFL Refs
The refs around the league have ruined the season for me thus far. The constant stopping of the game to call penalties has completely ruined the flow of the game. It is across the board as well, not just the Niners (although the Niners have gotten a pretty back shake so far. I haven't enjoyed a single game Niners or otherwise.

Re: NFL Refs
The main issue isn't just the stopping of the game but just how terrible a lot of calls have been and too many have had impacts on the game.
The need to ease back and let players play a bit and I firmly believe they need to give the refs an earpiece with a direct line to the command center where bad calls can be quickly overturned without impacting the pacing of the game much.
If it's a call you can spot as bad within the 1st replay there isn't a reason for their not to be someone at the HQ being able to instantly say pick up the flag.

Yeah, the calls have been so bad. Games aren't being decided on one terrible call at the end...it is a combination of terrible calls all game long.

Re: NFL Refs
They're in a tough position. There's just too many rules at this point. They're attempting to manufacture player safety through new rules and official adherence to said rules but it's a nonstarter from a viewing standpoint (and from a safety standpoint). The problem, at this point, is the game itself. Their answer is to put a band-aid on a concussion and it's not going to work. The game needs to change entirely if they have the players' best interest at heart. But I don't know how that can be done. And with viewership at the same levels they probably don't care anyway.
That's hilarious and co

But the new rules this season that have most affected the games, have nothing to do with player safety. The crackdown on illegal contact/defensive holding and pick plays on offense, and hands to the face have severely slowed the games down. I don't care how tough their position is, they are paid to make the make the correct call, not just flag any play that looks like it could be. They are just throwing these flags like their life depended on it.

This.
It's more the league than the refs. At some point it's just gonna become unwatchable. Between all the stoppage for flags, timeouts and commercials I feel like there's nothing left.

Re: NFL Refs
The refs get graded right? I wonder how many are being graded "well" thus far....
I'm looking for flags more so than my def players nowadays....its a distraction.
