Illegitimate children of NBA players, playing in the NBA?

Post#1 » by TKainZero » Sat Nov 15, 2014 12:46 pm

Its been on my mind for the last few days since I found out that Jalen Rose, is the illegitimate child of former first pick Jimmy Walker.

And combine the FACT that wilt chamberlin had sex with 20,000 women... did he not have any kids? I find that hard to believe... What do you think the odds are that Wilt Chamberlin has a child in the NBA?

We all know the NBA players with NBA dads... Kobe, Wiggins, Curry, Klay Thompson, Glen Rice jr, Glen Robinson.

But.... do you think there are any more Jalen Roses in the NBA? Players with a father who was a NBA player? But doesn't, acknowledge them?

We all know about Karl Malone, and his NFL son he doesn't talk to, and the WNBA daughter that he didn't want to talk to...

Maybe Shawn Kemp has a few kids around?
Dwight howard might have a few in about 15 years?

I don't know how many of the NBA players, don't know who their dad is...
Like LeBron...(no delonte jokes here) he doesn't know his dad... Could Nate Thurmond be his dad? They are both from akron, they are both RIPPED.. same hairline, Face, and everything...

People can act like it is crazy...
But Jalen Rose proves that it is not out of the realm of possibility

Honestly you created this thread just because of the Thurmond/LeBron thing, don't you ?

Very-very tiny chance. As far as I know, you cannot inherit skills, only physical traits. In other words, a 6'4-6'6 average Joe has the same odds of fathering a future NBA player than Michael Jordan has/had.

Balding is most strongly linked to ones maternal grandfather. So it is unlikely the genetic component for James receding hairline is inherited from his father (although it is entirely possible that his mother sought a sexual partner reminiscent of her father, hairline included).

Illegitimate children of NBA players, playing in the NBA?

If someone was " knocking boots "with an nba player no matter the salary

They would be sure to ask about it, or go public with it if they weren't supporting their child. They would be paid even if this was the 80's. In fact even more likely because the press of a nba player not supporting a child would have been a lot worse.

If Nate MF Thurmond was with Gloria James and she knew he was rich, she would definitely file for child support.

I'm calling all women thirsty gold differs but if you have sex with a guy who's rich your entitled to some of his money to support yourself

calling a child "illegitimate" or the more common "bastard" is like a few decades (or centuries) outdated.

All kids are legit sons of their fathers.

Physical traits are very useful for making it in the NBA, and it's not just about height. Jordan's kids would have a way higher chance to be really athletic than the kids of an average Joe who is the same height. So they will be much more likely to make it to the NBA. Still a small chance, but much higher than the average.

I think about this sometimes, too. It's overwhelmingly likely, imo, that there are more 'Jalen Roses' in the league.

Wilt's a good candidate for being an 'unknown' dad. The odds are very high that he had a very large number of kids, many of whom would have inherited some great genetic advantages (high intelligence, elite athleticism, and elite size). I think it's highly likely that Wilt had several kids play in the NBA.

Overall I'd guess that there have been at least 10 or 20 illegitimate/unknown offspring of NBA players who have made it to the league (or at least played some kind of pro sport). It would be interesting to know who they are, but I doubt we'll ever know.

Wilt did not have sex with 20,000 women. That's ridiculous.

It was 20,000 ... somethings. After the first 5,000 or so, he stopped asking questions.

He would of had the all time record but he took a break away from the game in the middle of his prime because it was too easy for him.

For 2 years he tried to pick up men.

Not illegitimate but more of an inspiring life Jimmy Butler has. Look at him now after all he has stumbled upon.

Agreed

http://www.suntimes.com/6146198-417/jim ... story.html

She and her large family took Butler into their Tomball, Texas, home long after his mother had thrown him out at the age of 13. He had bounced around from home to home, staying with friends for a while and then moving on like a tumbleweed.

I'm actually rooting for the guy to get the max.

There are worse things in life than your mom getting Chamberlained.

Like being homeless, and struggling your whole life.

You would think Wilt would call him now that he hit the big time.

If Wilt had children then I'm sure a lot of women and his alleged children would have came out and made a claim when you considered all the women he said he slept with.
