Trade Waiters or keep him?

Do you trade waiters or keep him around? If you trade him, would you trade him for a front court player/rim protector or would you trade him for another wing/shooting guard?

There isn't a thread about this going back a month ago. There's a thread asking what's up with Waiters but not one about trading him and what value is most important to get in return. You shouldn't have replied if you were going to add nothing.

I lean toward keeping him, but if how they're using him now is how they plan on using him going forward then he should be moved as soon as possible.

His trade value is somewhere around whale **** right now. His shot will start falling and he'll get his numbers up. If the Cavs are going to move him, that is when they should pull the trigger.

Unless he has a meltdown, I would not give him away though. One of the big three could get injured and he's great insurance against such a thing.

Dion is better then his trade value right now so no reason to move him yet. I thought we'd see more back door cuts and him moving off the ball during pick and roll situations but Blatt hasn't put him in good situations yet. He's having a harder time then Kyrie picking up team ball and chemistry, not a bright player.

Why trade? Sure I'd trade anyone on the team if it helped, but I don't see trading Waiters as being helpful.

Congrats to Kyrie on improving his game and making Waiters look bad. Before the last few Games Waiters was not as noticable. Now that Kyrie has called him self out as soft on defense before now and we have seen improvements, we really did not know how big the differece was between these two guys.

I think at the end of last year we would not have traded Dion because we were not sure what we had in Kyrie completely. Now there is no doubt who's the man between the two.

I was the Hoyer / Dion guy before. Now things have changed and its time for Johnny to show what he has and Dion has to be dealt.

I saw on the Trade Page a post that LAL wants Dion. I say, how about DIon and Triston for Randell (who's out for the year) and Jordan Hill. Lakers need help now. Maybe they would do a later for now deal. They could use two starts to put butts back in the staples seats.

I am not interested in dealing Waiters to the Lakers. If we were to make a deal with them, I would hope it was on the smaller side, returning Davis and/or Ellington. If I am trading Waiters, my first call is to Denver to talk about a Mozgov swap. If that went through, they can look to unload Afflalo to a contender for a late pick, and embrace the rebuilding process.

It's not so much Waiters' fault, (maybe it is) but if he's only gonna play 9 minutes we might as well trade him. Maybe he's just not getting it.

I like this contrast though. When Kyrie vs Waiters became a thing people started taking sides. Kyrie is playing what I think is the best basketball of his life and Waiters is struggling for minutes against marion, harris, and miller. That's funny to me.

I was always more jaded on Dion than most people around here but at this point, **** him. I don't want him on the team anymore period. Even if we have to trade him for significantly less than he's worth.

I'm with okada pretty much. He's not getting better, BBIQ lower than room temperature.

There were the rumors, and they both were ball hogging guards that looked to score first last year. It just looks to me that Kyrie is adapting while Dion is nursing a bruised ego.
