2015 All Star Thread

Post#1 » by rl25g » Thu Dec 11, 2014 11:03 pm

People, all star voting has STARTED and there are many ways for us to cast votes !

It is important for us, well at least to me, to get John in as a STARTER. He really has been one of the top guards in the East this year and his skill set would absolutely THRIVE in the highlight reel portions of the game and add credibility for him throughout the league.

We have to BLITZ the vote. vote on all of our devices, all of our wife's devices, do all we can. Also, let's vote WITHOUT voting for Wade, Rose or Irving. These are the guys who are going to steal the vote from John. Vote for him and DON't vote for them.

Below are the many ways you can vote via http://nba.com/wizards/vote/

1. VOTE ON TWITTER
Since you can vote up to 10 times a day, though for only one player per tweet, and because retweets count as votes we’re going all in on Twitter voting this year. Just tweet Full Player Name + #NBABallot and you’ve voted! Get started tweeting "John Wall #NBABallot,"

2. VOTE ON INSTAGRAM
Instagram voting is about the same as Twitter, just with a photo added. Post an original photo and put the first and last name of your favorite player in the caption, along with #NBABallot. Just like Twitter, you can vote for 10 players each day.

3. VOTE ON FACEBOOK
Similar to Instagram and Twitter, we just need you to post Full Player Name + #NBABallot and you’ve cast your vote. Remember that any likes or comments on your post don’t count as votes the same way retweets do. So in any posts you make on Facebook we ask that you urge your friends to post their votes as well.

4. Vote Online
You can also vote online at http://allstarballot.nba.com/ Limit 1 ballot entry with up to ten (10) players per computer per day.

5. Vote from Your Phone
Vote by texting a player’s last name to 69622 (MYNBA). Limit ten votes per phone per day, and only one vote per player within a 24-hour period. Message and data rates may apply.
Wizards fans can vote by entering nba.com/asb on their mobile device browser to vote. Limit one ballot per phone per day.
You can also vote via the NBA Game Time and NBA Game Time from Sprint apps. Limit one ballot per phone per day.

I think Porter gets into the Rookie/Sophomore game, Beal goes for the 3 PT Shootout and Wall goes for the Skills and All Star Game.

I want Wall in the dunk contest again. He put on a show last year, would be exciting to see what he'd do for an encore.

I don't really care about who gets voted into the game to be honest. Wall SHOULD start, but the NBA All Star game has always had the stupidest fan voting results so I don't sweat it too much.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

We really need to vote for Gortat here in Europe ;-) I would love to see him as reserve in the East team ;-)

I'd love to see Gortat get a reserve gig. He has been really good this year.

Curious to see how Wall does in the voting. He is a lock for the game regardless.

Wall has a very legitimate shot at starting in the Allstar game. Need to vote him in!

Wall the most popular guard in the East, and fourth most popular NBA guard.. only behind Curry, Harden, Kobe.

And games like he played today on national TV will only help boost his national profile. I'm glad for this kid that he's finally starting to get the recognition he deserves.

I'm so pleased Wall is getting the recognition he deserves. It's criminal that Kobe ranks in the top 3. He is having one of the worst seasons of all time. Just absolutely wretched, team-killing chucking and ball-hogging. His team is WAY better when he is on the bench.

That was my West votes as well.

I think my East was Wall, Jimmy, Rasual, Nene, Gortat

Jimmy has earned the vote. And I wanted to give Rasual some props.

Did not expect that. I think his emotional interview from the Boston game had a lot to do with it. ESPN ran a piece about it a day after and he was the top trending topic on NBA.com during that time as well. Nevertheless, it's about gaddam time our boy got the shine he deserves. F*ck Kyrie, F*ck Wade...and F*ck Lowry and the country of toronto.

When Wall shot 3-42 from three point all year, he didn't deserve shine IMO.

Now that John is backing guys down like Andre Miller, and at the same time can go 1-3 or 2-5 IN ONE GAME from three point--Wall has markedly improved. He's making it look TOO EASY. He's playing like a star/superstar.

Now he's proved all his critics, including me, wrong.

BRAVO JOHN WALL.
