Again, said he felt sorry watching the San Francisco offense, that Kaepernick is basically a non functioning qb, unable to make any reads to open receivers and very inaccurate. He also said that the oline issues were there but even so there were a lot of open throws that Kaepernick had that he either didn't make or made inaccurately. Even plays that coaches call to get a quarterback comfortable, like the first play of the raider game that called for a pass to Miller, Kaepernick isn't seeing.

I say he sits the next two games, maybe seeing things from the sidelines would give him a different perspective.

Kaepernick threaded the needle on a pass to Boldin over the middle, but that was by far his best pass of the day. Missed Davis on a long throw that could have turned into 6 or at least gotten them to the red zone. His touch on short throws continues to be a problem.

I just wish there was a developmental guy behind him that had a future with the 49ers. I don't see Gabbert being that guy, so I don't see Kaep getting benched.

The two other blatant plays were 1. the air mail overthrew to a wide open Boldin late in the game, and 2. not seeing Patton completely alone in the middle of the field with the broken coverage. Those plays really stood out to me for the ongoing accuracy/awareness issues that he's been fighting all year. It would be interesting to see a breakdown of the film showing the open receivers that he failed to throw to - especially in the second half. They won't sit him for the last two games but probably should as suggested. Need to lose these games anyway for the draft.
