It was a beautiful sight. YOUR Washington Wizards on national TV, toying with the New York Knicks in their house. Merry Christmas to the NBA schedule makers, ESPN, and the folks in the Knicks organization responsible for assembling that horrible roster. Luckiest man on Earth: Steve Kerr. But we digress...that game's over and the Wizards have one last home game before heading out for a five game Texas/OKC/New Orleans road trip. Coming into the Phone booth for a Saturday night game are the Boston Celtics.

The Cs are adjusting to the recent trade of PG Rajon Rondo to the Dallas Mavs. Incoming PG Jameer Nelson has lost recently lost his starting job at the 2 to rookie PG Marcus Smart. PG Avery Bradley has been manning the 1 for the Cs in Rondo's absence. A familiar face at the 3, SG Jeff Green (Georgetown) has been playing very well for the Cs recently. Their frontline manned by PF Jared Sullinger -- who has been showing some range out to the 3 pt arc -- and C Tyler Zeller.

Wizards PG John Wall is playing at an All-Star level. He's the tip of the spear; the head of the snake; the edge of the knife. As Wall goes, so goes the Wizards. SG Bradley Beal has not wholly rounded into form after a preseason broken hand (to his left, non-shooting hand). Head coach Randy Wittman recently replaced PF Nene into his starting lineup (over now-reserve PF Kris Humphries).

Without further ado, let's meet the anticipated starting lineups:

The road trip beckons. YOUR Washington Wizards have done will thus far in "harvesting their nuts" (h/t Eddie Jordan). The visiting Cs, currently sitting in 9th place in the East, have lost three in a row. Can the Wiz take care of business at home without looking ahead at the looming road trip until this game is done?

Hope we can get a convincing win against them, especially since the last two times we played them in a row it was a struggle. Lets hope Jeff Green doesn't go off like he always does at the phone booth.

Gotta win this to win the series. I hope we stomp them. I respect the hell out of Brad Stevens though. Trying to make lemonade with that roster full of raw, unripened lemons is a tough go.

http://www.csnwashington.com/basketball ... r-together

After 27 games, Wizards put starting five on floor together

Wow. That kind of slipped past me. I didn't realize that at some point, someone was always injured and they never actually lined up the starting 5 all season.

That interesting. So maybe this is low hanging fruit for this team to hit another gear.

Here is Wall commenting on the increased spacing with Nene starting and Hump in the 2nd unit.

Glad to catch Cs on a back to back... They're young though and match up well with us. Stevens coaches circles around Randy as well.

I think we'll know early if it's gonna be a struggle.

Seeing as we'll struggle to go .500 over our upcoming West Coast trip, this has to be a win.

I like the Celts and they got some kids who play hard, but let's blow them out of the gym. Enough said.

Howdy folks. Unfortunately, since last our teams met, it seems to many of us C's fans that this team has finally picked a direction. While your compliments of our yoots are appreciated, I just... would not be too worried about this game going to double OT again, is all I'll say.

Anyway, let's all get through it injury free.

Cs will be really good with a couple more pieces and some time and patience.

They're enjoyable to watch (except when they play the Wizards). Enjoy watching Jeff Green play. Is it my imagination, or is Sullinger turning himself into a bit of a stretch 4? (Or it's been obvious and I just haven't been paying attention.)

Texas/OKC/New Orleans trip looms. Would like to get this in the win column before heading out on the road.

Hopped on stubhub to see if I could grab some cheap tix, but to my surprise, most sections were sold out. The remaining tickets were very high priced for this match up. I'm guessing it will be filled with celtics fans. Need a win tonight before the tough road trip.

yeah, I use to tell guys on the Raps board all the time that we havent played one single game with our full starting unit yet when they acted like we were overrated and so on.

As for this game, the C's give us problems and Green plays well at home but I sense us kicking into another gear with our full starting unit, Wall playing well, and us doing good on the Christmas stage. I think we have a blowout unless we are looking ahead to the Texas trip. The C's lost a heartbreaker to BK so hopefully that helps. We got this

Yep. Had a mind to bring my Dad and my son in tonight for their first games. But couldn't find three decent tix together. Anyone got some to sell.

Clips are pretenders. Toronto on the lead by 8 now 13

I dunno how anyone can talk about LAC like real contenders. This is jumpshooting team. No alternative is they are off especially from 3pt line . Flopping, yelling and counting on refs.

This song is dedicated to Paul Pierce and Otto Porter, who looked a bit sluggish against the Knicks and the last few games, too.

Gotta keep up with John ("Balls to the") Wall.

This kind of stuff makes me lose respect for CP3. They need to not just make this a no-call, but call CP3 for a foul for looking purposefully for contact on a player who's not checking him, just minding his own business.

[/quote]

Instead, GP3 got the call for his puling this kind of crap.
