Official DMC to DC Thread. (I Got the Boogie Fever)

http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_ ... position/9

TOP CENTER IN TRUE +/- AS OF 1/20/2015: see the link above

Yes, that guy.

I think he would have a more positive effect than KD would in DC.

Thought this deserves its own thread. Discuss.

Sure. It would be great to get Cousins to DC.

It's just not going to happen. Cousins is under contract for 4 more years before he's a free agent. Sacramento may have horrible management, but they're smart enough to realize the Cousins is one of the most valuable assets in the league. There's no way we can acquire him without giving up Wall.

The ONLY way we get Cousins is if Cousins demands a trade and is willing to throw games to tank his value. And even then, Cousins is going to have to demand to be traded to Washington or else Sacramento will trade him elsewhere for a better package than what we can offer.

I you want to boogie to the dougie, it'll cost Beal plus. Do the Wiz have the juevos to deal Beal? Probably not.

If I'm the Kings, the only player that might tempt me is John Wall.

Top center statistically. Team still sucks balls.

Statpadder? I say yes.

Look at who he's been playing with..

I'd love to have Cousins on this team, short of him going nuclear, I just don't see how Washington is going to get him.

I'm still amazed that his agent didn't negotiate an ETO given the volatile nature of that franchise, or why he bothered to sign an extension to begin with.

You're so negative...

Since MJ traded away Juwan Howard while Howard was making $120M for 6 years, I learned anything is possible.

Cousins on a bad team is IMO worth no more than Nene or Gortat, plus a couple first round picks, with the Wizards also trading for a bad contract from Sacramento.

Might have to throw Porter in the deal. Might not.

There is no way on earth you'd get Cousins for that, none, zip, zilch.

Love was half way out of the door in Minnesota and it cost the Cavaliers two lottery picks and a future first rounder to make that move happen.

Even if Cousins demanded a trade, you'd have to put together a package that includes Gortat, Beal and Porter, to get an edge over the other teams that would be vying for his services.

It's nice to dream, but outside of free agency, I can't envision a scenario where he'll end up in DC.

Always been in the projections for down the road and have been posting about that in multiple threads ..

We get Cousins in the end more likely then not because of he and Walls relationship.

If nothing else, he is a walk on option in 2018

If we say yes to the boogie, we say no to KD2DC.

I say he!! to the no.

With Durant we win championships. Plus, he's a way better person. And gawd, he's one of our own.

If you're going to dream, dream big.

Given where TV revenues are heading on the next deal and considering that we'll have Gortat coming off the books a year after Cousins hits the UFA market, it's not inconceivable to imagine that Washington could add him to a team already featuring Wall, Beal and Durant.

Washington could renounce Porter following the 2017 season and use the stretch provision on Gortat's contract to free up additional cap room heading into the 2018 offseason.

Yep. This scenario makes more sense. With W-B-D as our pillars, we'd be front runners for any and every available player.

CCJ thought you'd find this video interesting

Actually all his video's are excellent. Look for the one "Is Isaiah Thomas better than Kyrie Irving?"

In FIBA junior play Kevin once blocked at least two or three of DMC's shots, at least one at the rim.

Demarcus Cousins has improved significantly more the past four years than Kevin Seraphin has.

You're right it would take more.

The Cavs were fools. They should have kept Wiggins.

As I think of it the Wizards need to make a three way deal where the get Larry Sanders for basically nothing, and include Sanders with Porter and maybe three draft picks, while sending the Bucks Seraphin, Webster, and future picks.

There is a way to get Cousins.

Got swagged on by Brook Lopez tonight.

The Kings are pathetic, yet on paper they shouldn't be this bad. I think the chemistry is a huge problem, and I think the overall temperament of the team is poor. Whether that's on Cousins is up for debate, but they clearly lack leadership, and that sure as hell ain't coming from Booger.

Cousins is just wasting his prime on a Sacramento team that will never sniff the playoffs. It saddens me to think that he is rotting away there when he should be here forming a dynamic duo with Wall.
