Chris Douglas-Roberts
tried to find a thread about him on here but didn't see anything. i tried the search engine and only seen threads from 09-10.
was wondering why no one is talking about picking him back up he is a free agent so no need for trades really unless your roster is full. but last year it seemed it was a good match between the two parties, i don't think people should get down on him because he got traded its just the Clippers didn't know how to use him. would love to see him back with you guys. seen a few people on Twitter say the same thing.
what you guys' take on him want to see him if so why or why not?

A ton of people on here love him and Jeff Adrien. They are both out of the league for a reason. They just aren't that good or they would be on another roster. Although Id probably play CDR over Neal and Hairston right now easily, but all of our contracts are guaranteed so I think it would make it difficult.

Our roster is full with about 5 contracts that shouldn't be guaranteed like Roberts, Maxiell, Pargo, and Taylor. Would love to have him back but that's virtually impossible unless we make odd moves that'll create a open roster spot to make that happen.
Don't pay the guy above me any mind saying that CDR and Adrien don't deserve roster spots in the NBA. He's just personally sick of seeing their names brought up around here.

Not sure how you feel, but I was never a big CDR fan. Adrien on the other hand could be a better Maxiell. Either way neither one of them would be in the rotation unless injuries come into play (like tonight).

CDR played better than Neal, PJ, or Taylor has shown us. Hell CDR played better with our starters than Hendo and Lance. How would he not crack the rotation when he knew his role, catch-and-shoot 3s with the occasional extra something.
Adrien would be exactly what you said tho, a better Maxiell. Not much of any room for him in our frontcourt.

I think he's stating the objective fact that their play did not convince their respective teams to keep them on the roster and also did not convince other teams to add them once they were cut.

What? I wouldn't have gave him a guaranteed contract. He's a overseas journeyman that happened to get forced onto NO's roster because they were tanking or didn't have much else money after blowing it on Tyreke and Jrue and figured to keep the journeyman that couldn't make the NBA until his late 20s. Injuries forced him into heavy playing time and he cut the mustard as average. He's a 3rd stringer on any team really looking to go somewhere. That's right, I said it, his contract shouldn't have been guaranteed.

You missed the Index Thread which is stickied, but no big deal.

CDR was fantastic last year and also one of the most interesting, likable dudes in the league.

Re: Chris Douglas-Roberts
He's league average for a backup PG. Good shooter, doesn't turn it over, good chemistry guy, decent defense, cheap. We're not gonna find a PG like him off the street, and a two year guaranteed deal is fine for him.

Big difference between being available in June and being available in mid-January.

Threads for Jeremy Lamb and CDR in one day. While were at it lets make one for Derrick Brown.

Feel free to. I spoke him up while watching Lance Thomas. Brown would be a solid pickup but I'm perfectly fine with Zeller and Marv. He couldn't do nothing those two can't.

Big difference between signing him with a unguaranteed or partially guaranteed contract rather than a fully guaranteed one like we did that didn't give us much flexibility. Either way I wouldn't waive him at this point either way and definitely not for CDR when Cliff still gonna play Neal and hasn't played PJ enough lately.

I would cut Neal and Taylor to add Brown.

I would cut Neal to add you and I to the roster at this point, but his contract is guaranteed. No homer stuff aside, I want Seth Curry. Hes ripping the D league apart. At least put him on a 10 day contract for Christ sake.

We got Roberts and Pargo guaranteed behind Kemba. Highly doubt we'd make a move to add a 4th PG. Even as a shooter it would be hard to play Seth at SG defensively. However we do have the SG that's more of a big bumbling PG in Lance that could make it work.
