Alvaro Morata Chose Juventus Over More Money From Arsenal

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Apr 3, 2015 11:22 pm

Alvaro Morata's agent, Giuseppe Bozzo, believes Real Madrid would be wasting their time trying to buy him back from Juventus in the summer.

Morata has a clause in the contract he signed with Juventus when he left Madrid last summer that gives them first refusal to buy him back.

"Real didn't want to sell him to start with," Bozzo told Tuttosport.

"They then wanted to sell him to the club who made the best offer, trying to get more than what Juve offered. But Alvaro dug his heels. He said one thing, and that is he wanted to join Juve. And that's where he ended up, despite pressure from Real.

"A few days ago, in an interview in Spain, he said that he felt great at Juve and he couldn't imagine returning to Madrid, and that he wants to continue to grow at Juve. And he said he'd be willing to pay to win the Champions League with the Bianconeri. That's precisely how he thinks.

Asked about Arsenal and Wolfsburg offering Morata more money, Bozzo replied: "Exactly, but Alvaro had made up his mind as soon as Juve set their sights on him.

"That's the way Morata is. I can tell you this because I know him well. He's crazily determined, he's got courage and guts. He's not hypocritical either -- he says what he thinks. He's not two-faced.

"He told me recently that Juve are one big family and that they are ideal for him. A year ago, during the negotiations, when he left Real's headquarters he made a promise to me about Juve and the Champions League. I can't reveal any more than that. I just hope that dream really does come true. Alvaro would be in dreamland, and so too would Juve.

"Morata's very happy at Juve and isn't thinking of anything else."
