Game 3 recap...

Post#1 » by GRADEN » Fri May 22, 2015 4:19 pm

So ummm expecting our second son any second now so can't keep up much, why was Tuevo not in lineup and Nordstrom was? Nord was fine, nothing bad and / or good but Tuevo creates opportunities... Hurt?

Sheeran is just dang good guys, not much else to say. He is hands down the next elite goalie in the league. He could have a 8-9 year run as a top 5 gaa / save guy.... He is that good

U know something Perry while an all star and well respected player simply put doesn't get enough due as one of the best two way guys in the world. He is just insanely good in all aspects

Positives: Toews dominating Kessler in the circle... I want to say it was 10 or 11 to 3. That's elite right there. I thought Kane found the puck a lot in good spots. Bicks had some decent checks. Crawford had his side to side working well for the most part. Overall we played pretty well guys it's just their goalie is dominating this postseason... I mean to me it's obvious even now that they are going to win this cup on his back

Q's been trying to shake things up for a few reasons. Anaheim's physical presence, Nordstrom for example has been scratched and he's trying to keep some of these lesser (and I don't mean that in a demeaning way) players' confidence up. It sends a message. Vermette was pissed he was scratched last night. Tuevo will be back soon enough. TVR was called up today as well and was cleared to skate. Cross your fingers he MIGHT be able to play D sooner rather than later.

The biggest problem is the Hawks can't score on Andersen... who isn't an elite goaltender. But he's playing like one. The one goal the Hawks get is a backhander by Kane. Why they don't elevate the puck, especially on rebounds is beyond everyone at this point. Crow's played good. Just Andersen is playing better. Both these goalies are worse than the 2 in the ECF and the scores are so low. Gotta love the playoffs.

I guess my thing with anderson is this... I feel he is going to be elite... His sample size is too small right now but he came into the league and played well. He has size, fluid side to side, and most importantly for a goalie: composure. IMO he is on his way to being a top 5 goalie for many years... Kid is real good.... And yes craw playing well too

I think he vastly (Andersen) benefits by the team in front of him. They're big, they're physical and well-rounded, especially right now. If you put him on Tampa, NY, etc. those teams are all golfing right now. The Hawks are making him look a lot better than he is by not being able to shoot up.

And like I said to Q's method of madness, both Tuevo & Vermette are back in for game 4. He wanted to get some ice time for Steeger (who he adores), etc.

bad timing to do so, IMO, especially after a win that had tied the series.
