Where does Chris Bosh rank among NBA PFs?

Post#1 » by contract » Mon Jun 1, 2015 3:44 pm

It's Chris Bosh's turned to be judged by the mob ... I mean fan base.

Same parameters as the previous threads. Factoring in both offense and defense, where do you rank Bosh among NBA PFs?

top5 pretty much, Davis, Griffin, Love and Aldridge are the only ones I'd take ahead of him as of today.

Tier 1
AD
Blake

Tier 2
Bosh
LMA
Duncan
Millsap
Love

Tier 3
Gasol
Z-Bo
Ibaka
Green
Favors
...

Don't know man, top 8 seems like a safe pick, but one could argue about top 5; apart from rebounding his all around game is pretty amazing.

Edit: Wow I see after Dragic you also made these threads for Whiteside and Deng, I'll check them out later tonight!

Anthony Davis
Blake Griffin
LaMarcus Aldridge
Kevin Love
Paul Millsap
Greg Monroe
Derrick Favors
Pau Gasol (he played more PF than C the last 2 combined seasons)

are better than Bosh

I would put Bosh TOP 8-10

I think AD is the only tier 1 PF on that list. I think Ibaka should be in tier 2. If you are asking in terms of who would I rather have on my team right now, Green and Favors would be above Duncan and Millsap.

Top 5
1. AD
2. Blake

3. Bosh/Aldridge
5. Love

I think theres a sizable gap between 2 and 3. I haven't seen Bosh impact a game or series like Blake did against the Spurs. Averaging 24pts 14rebs 7.5asts including a triple double in the game 7 close out, he put his team on his back. He's not perfect though the Rockets series showed that.

Bosh had a bad year this year. He was a ball stopper on offense and his defense was bad, probably because he was asked to do so much more offensively but still. With an offseason of rest I hope he comes back focused and rejuvenated.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

Oh sure, I agree, the youth and upside count, but right now? I doubt Green performs as well on a bad team as he does with this loaded roster and Favors leaves much to be desired on the offensive end. That was my reasoning to put them a tier lower.

it's like that with every fan base tho, most fans are naturally pessimists and piss on their team/players any chance they get in comparison to other teams.

Losing will do that to you too... I've stopped looking at fans with much, if any rationale sense

1. AD
2. Bosh
3. LMA/Griffin

Then you have Ducan Zboand Favors.

Bosh is partly to blame for the disrespect he gets about his talent. He plays soft and has fallen in love with his jumper over the years. He can and will at times still play at a high level on both ends of the court inside and out and thats what still makes him top 3.

Love? HahahaahhHAHAHa. Empty stat player, does not really effect a team. Lebron should have kept Wiggins.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno

You guy's are really underestimating Bosh. IMO he is tied for the third best PF in the league with LMA. In my eyes, I see it as #1 = Blake, #2 = AD and #3 is Bosh/LMA. People putting Millsap, Favors and Love over him are looking pretty foolish right about now. They aren't anywhere as versatile and consistent as Bosh has been throughout his entire career.

I figured "top 10" would win ... maybe "top 8".
