Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

He's like a NASCAR driver who, after deciding he'll never beat anyone in a race, goes and crashes into his competitors instead

Yes. But, Green has been a punk all series. Delly just gives it back. Too bad Green wasn't ejected.

I wonder how Love feels about Delly as a teammate. Or is it only scumbag intent to injure when some other team does it to you?

Yep. Exact same type of dirty play that ended Love's playoff run, and largely damaged the Cav's hopes. But when Delavedova does it, it's OK, apparently. Notice that Delavedova also jumped a bit sideways into Green's legs. It's not all just hustle and tough play. It's dirty play.

On one hand I want to root for a guy like Delly. He has half the talent but twice the heart of any role player in the NBA. On the other hand he does play a little too reckless (dirty) which dissuades me from rooting for him at all.

Hate this guy. Even if he was on my team, I'd hate him. He's that kind of guy.

This is actually far worse than what Olynyk did. Olynyk was atleast staying on his feets while dragging Love away.
