I chose faith shaken because there wasn't a worse or more dramatic choice.
Words can't describe how disappointed I am right now.

Beyond excited. I've like Stan Johnson for quite some time. Definitely fee he's the better prospect than Winslow and it seems like SVG agrees.
Haven't been this excited since the team drafted Andre Drummond.
For me, it was Hezonja, Mudiay or Johnson. Very pleased.

I'm starting to lean toward "like it"
Although initially I was already doing my "we got Winslow" dance. It's a disappointment for sure.

I started there, took a deep breath, and got up to mildly disappointed. Not sure it's a huge gap.

Slightly more than mildly disappointed. Like I said in the other thread Winslow wasn't that much higher on my list than Johnson but he was still ahead of him.
I'm curious to know if this was a Van Gundy pick or a Bower pick.

Re: Poll: How do you like the Johnson pick?
I chose meh. I wanted Winslow but as a basketball mind 1 pick doesn't discredit everything SVG has accomplished. Maybe he saw something that we didn't in either case whether it was in an interview, analytics or in workouts.
I know this:
1. No way Winslow will be the 10th best player in this draft 3 years from now.
2. It's absolutely not a given that Winslow becomes better than SJ.
Who knows, maybe the homer in me is trying to hard to rationalize it.

What bad move has SVG made yet? Right now, it's a meh but maybe he might just be pretty good.

Re: Poll: How do you like the Johnson pick?
It's hard to not like it because he is a very good prospect and deserved to go that high. It's not like it was a huge curveball or anything. It's a little harder to swallow because Winslow was still available, and that was unexpected. Like many, I would have preferred Winslow. That won't keep me from liking this pick, though.

Re: Poll: How do you like the Johnson pick?
I no longer believe we're in good hands.
I thought we would be moving in a positive direction, the Jackson trade and even the Ily trade made me believe we were starting to really do things right.
Now I think its only a matter of time before guys like Drummond and Jackson leave what is clearly a losing situation and will be for the foreseeable future.

Isn't he shooting challenged? I would have thought that would be an issue.

Re: Poll: How do you like the Johnson pick?
Is it that hard to understand why SVG thinks Stanley Johnson will be a better player than Justice Winslow 3 years from now?

Nope shot a respectable clip in college and can actually create space for himself...the hate for this pick is bizarre..
