Lakers: DeAndre, let me tell you of a great city where dreams are made.
Jordan: Bruh, I've already been in LA 7 years now.

Waste of a meeting and waste of the Lakers time.

I would be ecstatic if we get Robin Lopez, Monroe and Patty Mills instead. For cheap of course.

According to your logic, Tim Duncan doesn't deserve any respect.

the problem as i see it is there is nothing to really pitch basketball wise, we have a lot of cap space going forward and rookies with potential, that's pretty straight forward, theres just not much going on basketball analytic wise to pitch. at least thats why i figure these meetings are so short.

I pretty sure they just erased LaMarcus' name on the presentation and just put DeAndre in there and rolled with it.

"So uhhh... We're the Lakers and we have cap space and if uhhh you put your career's trust in our hands uhhh we will try to sign the free agents that we keep striking out on and uhh do you want Flea's autograph? What about Adam Levine's? Would you like a tour of our practice facility to see our trophies from twenty years ago? Uhhhhhhhh uhhhhh"

Going through the motions. What do we have to lose? Meeting is only in LA anyway.

Some extremely salty Lakers fans today. We weren't going to be able to build a championship roster over this one particular summer.

This summer is important because if we suck and we're in the lottery guess who gets our pick...Philly...

I don't think it's the Lakers pitch or Kobe being Kobe and scaring Free Agents away. It's the Lakers not having anyone to pair these big name free agents with. Yeah we have Kobe but all we hear is how much does he have left in the tank and that has to be scaring these players away or be in the back of their minds.

Don't be so naive. It's been multiple summers with the same outcome due to the same front office issues that they apparently refuse to fix. It isn't going to get better. DLo better be the next great Laker thing or this franchise is in serious trouble as front office currently constructed.

Yeah, #2 in the draft wasn't enough... Had to have 2 max free agents too.

not really. i mean a LOT of people are overreacting but still. its pretty alarming. especially after back to back failed attempts at star players. our young core is definitely exciting but this year and last year we really needed to spend our cap space to build an even more enticing team for future free agents most especially durant. at least for me, he's the prime target all this team. i was never on the melo bron lma sweepstakes. but we seriously need to get some talent. lol.
