First..

and i am Happy with the Offseason so far. Get rid of some Lockerroom Cancers, got some veteran leadership and some great lockerroom presence. got a stretch 4 in mirza, got good size for the off guard pos in weems. great defender and mentor for len and kieff in tc.. What more can i say - happy german suns fan

Props to the great one

Weems needs his minutes, at least 10-20 per game imo

Bled/Price
Knight/Weems/Goodwin
Warren/Tucker
Kieff/Mirza
Chandler/Len

I can see Weems playing both the SG and SF positions

You wouldn't want to take any time away from Warren or Knight. And I doubt Goodwin is going to be playing all too much

Personally I would want both Weems and Warren playing more at the expense of Tucker.

Weems looks like a better passer, probably 80% Tucker's defense, more shooting, and much more dynamic

In all likelihood though, Weems cuts into Goodwin's minutes a lot more than Tucker's

Im all aboard the PJ3 train. He would be an excellent addition to our squad, is on a cheap contract, and can be obtained for cheap (OKC is looking at Dumping both him and Novak so they can pay Kanter his horribly overpriced contract). PJ3 has great size/length (Thats what she said!), young, athletic, can play the 3 or the 4, can score in the paint or knock down a jumper, has 3 point range and very versatile. Playing in our system i think he can be deadly. A poor mans Durant, specially if Coach can help him improve on his shot.

I like PJ3 too. When Durant got injured, he had a couple of breakout big time games until he himself suffered an injury was never 100% back during rest of the season.

Jones is the one I wanted the Suns to take instead of Kendall back then....

Would easily trade a 2nd for him.

So, I post this on the 2nd to last pg, and now will be gone forever, so...

I'm bringing it back!!! Thoughts on these cheap bigs? Basically, any of these guys you think would be better suited than Leuer as our backup if Morris gets suspended and/or Len goes down? I personally would like to see one of Acy/Sims/Onuaku given a chance...

I'm still not sold on Leuer for us. Would rather look at a guy that could conceivably back up both the 4 and 5 positions. We do eed to plan for the prospect of missing Kieff for several games this year due to suspension. As few as 8-10 games could derail our chances at the 8th seed. There are still a few guys out there as FAs that remain unsigned, and while I get the fact that if they are still unsigned at this point, they likely aren't worth much, but would suspect they are worth more than what will be available in a few months when the suspension hits.

And yes, I get that it may be all for naught, as Kieff may be cleared completely, but again, an 8-10 game suspension could be the difference between 3-4 wins. So what are your thoughts on these guys coming in cheap? (Smith and James listed first, being former teammates with Tyson)

Greg Smith - 6' 10" 260, 7' 2.5" Wingspan, 8' 11" Reach -- 1.9pts/1.8rebs in 8 mpg

Bernard James - 6' 10" 230, 7' 3" Wingspan, 9' .5" Reach -- 2.6pts/2.3rebs in 9mpg

Quincy Acy - 6'8" 240, 7' 2.5"Wingspan, 8' 11" Reach -- 6pts/4.5rebs in 19 mpg

Henry Sims - 7' 245, 7' 4" Wingspan, 9' Reach -- 8pts/5rebs in 19mpg

Arinze Onuaku - 6'9" 260 -- 4.5pts/3.5rebs 11 mpg

Justin Hamilton - 7' 255, 7' 2" Wingspan, 9' 1" Reach -- 2.8pts/2rebs in 12mpg

Pero Antic - 6' 11" 260 -- 5.4pts/3rebs in 16mpg (Playing in Euro league--probably not available/willing to play in NBA)

Glen Davis - 6' 9" 290 -- 3.8pts/2.2rebs in 12mpg

Reggie Evans - 6' 9" 250, 7' 2" Wingspan, 9' 1" Reach -- 3.7pts/6.4rebs in 16mpg

Tyler Hansbrough - 6' 10" 250, 6' 11.5" Wingspan, 8' 10" reach -- 3.5pts/3.5rebs in 14 mpg

Jeff Withey - 7' 240, 7' 2" Wingspan, 9' 2" Reach -- 2.6pts/1.7rebs in 7mpg

Kevin Seraphin - 6' 10" 280 -- 6.5pts/36rebs in 15 mpg

Darrell Arthur - 6'9" 235, 6' 11" Wingspan, 8' 11" Reach -- 6.6pts/2.9rebs in 17 mpg

Ryan Hollins - 6' 11" 235, -- 3pts/2.3rebs in 10mpg

PJ3 sounds good to me. We have enough older players now, add another youth forward like PJ, and I think it would be a solid offseason.

Get it done Kerrsed!

PJ3 probably wouldn't see any time if we acquired him. Seems each position is filled at starter & backup. Unless we deal Tucker?

Weems seems to be in the mold of Archie Goodwin already, maybe better since he is older smarter smarter and a better athlete and defender. I think we give Archie too much credit for upside, he will contribute at best, not carry us. Whatever happened to MARSWAG BROOKS!?!?

Now I have that picture in my head of the entire office staring at Jerry Maguire as he walks out. That would probably more be in the case for Terrence Williams though.

I'm on board for PJ3. Wouldn't mind Seraphin too. No to the other bigs.

PJ3 sure I'll take em. I doubt anyone else will go higher than the Cavs pick next draft. Mirza is still iffy, and we can use more depth at the 3/4 along with some upside.

We need PJ. With so many good swing men in the league we need his defense. TJ can't play 48 minutes at SF and we are not sure how good Weems will be, but that would be strictly in small ball situations as there is little chance he could guard Durant or Harden.

Weems and Tucker are actually the same height. And I think Weems has a longer wingspan as well.
