Polling each fan forum to get their take on the upcoming season
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

It's how many playoff series we will win that should matter. We are in the garbage East and there's no excuse for a first round exit again

Difficult to say, I think somewhere in the 40s, but its tough to delineate between 40-44 and 45-49. It will be interesting to see the O/U on betting sites/Vegas when its released, they seem to be fairly accurate.

49.5 Ws last year.

45, 5th seed. Losing in the first round to Washington again.

7th in the east. We got better at SF but worse at PF and on the bench.

I think this team can still win 50 games. We brought in players who will help the defense and I can see us running a more team oriented offense since we traded away iso players for more system players. We still have and All Star backcourt so winning around 50 doesn't seem impossible.

This team filed its biggest needs (Perimeter Defense, Rebounding, Starting 3) and has another season for its younger players to grow. Dunno why everyone is so pessimistic lol.

66 wins, thanks to our frontcourt. Patterson, Scola, Biyombo and 20 minutes from JV is unstoppable.

But it opened up 3 new ones. (Starting 4, Bench, interior D (amir was our best defender by far))

We are not going to win 66 games with 20 minutes of JV. We will win 66 games with 0 minutes of JV.

To be fair, the starting 4 was a problem since last season, since Amir's ankles were sniped.

Yes, the bench lost alot of power, but I feel like we will play more team ball, which will help both our bench and starting lineup.

Our interior D took a hit, but it wasn't that great at the beginning since Casey used a s*** defensive scheme and our players kept on gambling.

I hate using cliches, but we robbed Peter to pay Paul.

In a macro sense we traded O for D. And depleted a great bench by getting younger. Its tough for me to advocate this team is better, it should be much different. The more I look into it, and think about it, this could be a high variance team. Injuries to DD or KL (which we had last year) could hurt alot more this year, and even if healthy I could see a high 30 Ws team, to a borderline 50 W team, dependent on alot of factors. This might be the toughest Raps squad to predict (going into the season) in the last few yrs IMO.

I would agree with you on the 4 if Amir was actually healthy when it mattered (when Kyle wasn't playing out of his mind). And I guess we'll agree to disagree on the bench since IMO Cojo/Scola/Biyombo/Powell/Wright/Ross>>>>Lou/Vas//Hands/Hayes.

I pray to the Masaiah every night and thank him that we'll no longer have to watch Hands play significant minutes and that we actually have a really backup center for once. Getting killed on the glass should no longer be a frustration we have to deal with. Amir being forced against all those bigger centers wasn't gonna help him heal up any quicker :(

Yeah if we have 2 injuries to any of Lowry, Demar or Carroll I don't think we're beating anybody.
