Dawson Goes In Studio With The Beast 980Dawson said he’s done radio and talk shows before, including earlier this offseason in Las Vegas.
“So I was pretty comfortable,” Dawson said afterward. “I had a great time answering questions from different fans from all over. That was great. I had a great time.”But the majority of the in-studio appearance centered on basketball and how Dawson can’t wait to get started with his teammates. He described Blake Griffin as “unbelievable,” and the dunk that stands out to him when he thinks of Griffin’s aerial displays was the one on Pau Gasol, which he described as electrifying.
Dawson was drafted for his defensive tenacity, strength and energy, and he said he knows at the three and four spots he’ll have to expand his perimeter skills and shot, but he has no doubt that’ll happen.
For now, he just can’t wait to get started.
“I’m fired up,” Dawson said. “I’m ready to compete against my future teammates. I’m really excited. I think we have a great group of guys.”
