So many opinions out there in the various threads about worthless players, coaches, front office personnel, etc. Here's a poll to determine the fan's whipping boy

That's a good approach to all the negativity and overreaction. Hope it's kept more as a joke than a bashing thread.

I'll go with Knight. Rather than a hero in shining armor, I feel he is more like Podrick, from Game of Thrones.

This is a tough one. I guess I will have to go with Sarver overall, even though I think he has significantly improved and has made better decisions overall.

I thought about McD because he has made mistakes, but he has also made some great trades and valiant efforts in signing free agents.

Markieff would be easy, but again, I think a big part of what drove him to act in the manner he did was his brother and the FO. That's not to excuse his actions, but as far as what he does for the team, how hard he works, and his importance to this lineup, I don't hold much of a grudge with him. I think he has come to work as a pro too.

I'm not going to be too quick to judge Knight. I'm not impressed yet, but I will let him have some time with the team before jumping to conclusions.

I just chose Tucker. I think this will be a regression year and everyone will be begging for Warren to start.

I think Markeif is the most disliked for obvious and legitimate reasons but I chose Tucker. He's the perfect whipping boy guy; a limited player whose best assets like D don't show up in a box score, he's also blocking a guy most of us want to see play big minutes in Warren so every time he messes up people will be calling for his head.

I think Knight is the dark horse to be this guy by the end of the year. If he doesn't shoot well and turns it over people will be VERY down on him.

Sarver has destroyed the Suns and set us back 20 years.

Sarver inherited a team with Steve Nash, Amare, Marion, Joe Johnson. 1 MVP and 3 all stars.

His inheritance is the only reason why we had winning seasons under his rule.

Sarver is like a trust fund baby who inherited $50 million and has turned it into $10 million.

So true...and he could have added Iguodala to the team in the draft....and agreed to terms with JJ. Part of the problem was that Colangelo signed Q. That was probably unnecessary. If that doesn't happen, we probably draft a stud and extend JJ. Of course Sarver sold draft picks later too.

Bobby Sarver is an easy whipping boy. Just pour all of your lost hopes and dreams onto him. He is the Suns villain to the St. Colangelo era.

You need to let Frank have 3-4 votes. His list of Suns villains is quite long, starting with McDuh.....

Knight for me. I really dont like his game at all.

Not an elite ball handler, not a great defender, terrible finisher at the rim, cant run an offence, lacks strenght in all areas, low Bball IQ, and makes up half of our gimmick undersized backcourt. I would rather start Weems or Booker than Knight.

Im not one to wish bad on a player, and I hope he proves me wrong. But to me he is the definition of an overpaid meh player.

Sarver has made mistakes in the past, however hes learnt from them and been great in recent history.

The only things good that happened durring the Sarver era happened because Colangelo put them in place.

Colangelo drafted Amare. Colangelo went with Sarver to sign Nash ans Colangelo had the main role. Sarver was a fly on the wall the entire time.

This franchise needs a complete overhaul from the top down. But I believe Sarver, McDuh and Horny deserve to shoulder most of the blame in that respective order. Our current state of perpetual mediocrity is only symptomatic of the higher up's pathological incompetency.

I love how our FO should be hanged after 2 years of average, but Philly and Minny are being championed for the hot garbage their teams have been..... It's not even a "they're young we're not" thing, it's a "I only see the highlights of their squads but I watch ours every day" thing.....

Minnesota tanked the right way. They have arguably the two top players in the league under 20 (KAT and Wiggins). They brought back Garnet to finish his career and mentor the youngsters. They have a pass first PG to get everyone involved. They have a handful of other young players with rotational potential.

Minnesota's future is bright.

They also had a bright future few years ago with all those top 5 picks, and look how that ended up. Not a single playoff appearance, and it's not like they have been close to one. I am not saying they will suffer the same fate this time, but they are not a sure thing either. There is more to it than just stockpiling young talented players and hoping for the best.
